Solution. There are several reasons for Error 5100 to appear, including a paper jam, an improperly seated ink tank, and more. Encoder (Timing) Strip on the printer needs cleaning. Manual cleaning can be done on some models.

The top plastic piece is not pushing the door close sensor down and because its too short and the cardboard allows the sensor to be reached and pushed.
