Unknown Printer

Experienced technical support provide their insights in answering this question :
You need MuWin and your NIC firmware to upload to the host, but both things are keep under cover by OKI… Find attached old (and probably useless for you) files; check and say.. (https://mega.nz/#F!oEkA3JKZ)By the way, you should specify what firmware do you need ¿isn’t it? I don’t know yet what firmware uses my c511dn nor what NIC host it mounts… :~(

How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Start by checking your hardware

If you`re using a wired printer, make sure that the printer cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. For wireless printers, check the wireless connection. Make sure the printer`s wireless option is turned on and available.

Checking the connection from a PC

Press «5» on the [Configuration] screen. Check that [Network Setup] is selected, and press «OK». Press ▼ to select [Wired(LAN1) Information], and press «OK». Press ▼ several times to select [IPv4 Address], and press «OK».

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi. Under Related settings, select Change advanced sharing options. In the Advanced sharing settings dialog box, expand the Private section. Next, under Network discovery, select Turn on network discovery.
If your router has a USB port, you can easily connect your printer to the router using the USB port. Power on the printer and wait 60 seconds. If you haven`t already done so, plug the printer into an electrical outlet or power strip. Turn on the printer and wait 60 seconds for your router to recognize the printer.
Connect your wireless printer to your home network by clicking on the WPS button on your printer and router. You will then have to press the WPS button on your router to discover new devices, then push the WPS button on the printer. This will automatically detect and connect to your wireless network.
Start the Network Card Setup Utility. Select this machine from the list. Select [IP Address] from the [Actions] menu. Specify the settings as necessary, and click [Config].
Type the following command: wmic printer list brief . This will show the list of installed printers. To save the list to a file, issue the command wmic printer list brief > “%userprofile%\Desktop\installed_printers. txt” .
Make sure your Wi-Fi network and printer setup meet connection requirements. Restart the printer and the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions. Make sure the printer is not connected to a computer with a USB cable.
Connection over the internet:

Enter “what is my ip” into the search bar of the browser, then write down your public IP address (not to share it with anyone else in case of security issues). Step 2. Enter the IP address of your router in a web browser once it is open. Then a privacy warning will appear.

Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer and select Properties. Look in the Web Services tab for your IP address if only three tabs appear. Alternatively, look in the Ports tab for your IP address if five tabs appear.
The “printer icon not showing in devices and printers” issue mostly occurs for various reasons. For instance, it may occur when there is a corrupted printer driver or a corrupted system. Besides, if there is no Bluetooth support, the printer icon missing problem may also appear.
