Brand new MX922. Printed a couple of pics and now the 6000 error. Can’t see any obstruction. Could you provide the manual for dismantling the unit further? Or pointers for getting further into the box than just looking through the little folding inkwell door?

What to Do. Turn off the machine and unplug it. Plug in the machine again and turn it back on. If this does not solve the problem, contact your nearest Canon service center to request a repair.

The ink has run out. Replace the ink cartridge and close the paper output cover.

Solution. There are several reasons for Error 6000 to appear, including a paper jam, an improperly seated ink tank, and more. Paper is jammed or there is an object inside the printer. The printer needs to be reset.
With the printer powered on, select Setup . Select Device settings . Scroll to the bottom of the menu list and select Reset settings.
To clear the error manually push the UP, DOWN and PUMP buttons simultaneously, ensure the display clears before showing the temperature or error code again. If the display does not clear the reset was not executed correctly.

If something is in front of the paper feed tray, the paper feed tray may not open even after you command a print job. As a result, the 6000 error shall occur. In such a case, remove any physical objects that prevent the tray from opening and turn OFF the printer. Then, turn ON the printer and command printing again.
Turn the printer and camera power off, then turn on again. If the error message does not clear, contact a Canon Customer Support center for assistance. Close the cartridge cover. If the error message does not clear, turn the power off and on again.

Canon Pixma iP3000 "Open door" Error code.
ANSWER : Look for a protruding plastic on the top that goes into an indentation. Mine was in the front left side. Put a piece of cardboard into the indentation.and close the door. The top plastic piece is not pushing the door close sensor down and because its too short and the cardboard allows the sensor to be reached and pushed.
