Check that AC line cord is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the back of the printer. Ensure the power switch is turned on. Ensure that particular wall outlet is good by trying some other electronic equipment functions when plugged into that same wall outlet. Try another wall outlet, if possible.
Note: To turn off the printer, press and hold the power button for five seconds.
Turn off the printer and turn it on again after a minute. Make sure that the printer is on the Ready state, otherwise capture the error message and restart the printer once more. Check the actual connection of the printer. Make sure that the printer is on the same network with the computer.
Navigate to Settings > Print > Quality > Print Mode and check whether it is set to “Black and White” then change it to “Color”. Navigate to Settings > Device > Maintenance > Configuration Menu > Print Configuration > Black Only Mode. Make sure this option is unchecked.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
Solution. Perform a power cycle (power off, wait 30 seconds and then power it on again) on the printer to return its full functionality.
Tap Connect to Printer > Go to Wi‑Fi Settings. Connect your mobile device to the printer wireless network. Return to the app, and then tap Setup Wi-Fi Connection. Select a Wi-Fi network, and then type the network password.
There are some possible causes: your computer has corrupted system files, Internet Explorer 8 DLL isn`t registered correctly, Print Spooler service isn`t running and Bluetooth service isn`t running. Tip: You may be interested in this post – Fix: A Deleted Printer Keeps Coming Back in Windows 10.
Check the ink levels

Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.

The Print Spooler is software built into the Windows operating system that temporarily stores print jobs in the computer`s memory until the printer is ready to print them. In some circumstances you may need to stop and/or restart the service. To access the Print Spooler you must open the Local Services console.
Printer sleep mode

Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.

A component found in electrostatic printers, laser printers, and xerographic printers and photocopiers. The fuser unit is used to permanently bond toner to a substrate by applying heat and pressure. A fuser unit is made up of two rollers; one to apply heat and one to apply pressure.
Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Hardware and Sound | Devices and Printers. This screen will show you all of the printers that are installed. Right-click on the printer that is experiencing problems, and then select the Troubleshoot command from the shortcut menu.
The printer will turn into the sleep mode when the time you have set passes without receiving data after the last job is printed.
This is a safety feature Lexmark designed for the printer to prevent fire or damage that might result from an overheating fuser. Should it overheat, the printer will automatically shutdown.
Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default. If you don`t see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected.
Using the reset feature is a common need to clear a jam, clear a queue or to work through a different set of troubleshooting issues. Not all models have a reset button, but they all have a process to reset the printer.
To adjust power and sleep settings in Windows 10, go to Start , and select Settings > System > Power & sleep.
Diagnostic mode is an environment that runs a set of tests before the browser starts. These tests vary in sophistication, from trivial checks that critical files exist, to more complex (and time consuming) tests that test the integrity of the key databases.
You can find the printer IP address: From the top left corner of the printer home screen. From the TCP/IP section in the Network/Ports menu.
The default user name and password is admin.
Turn the printer off then back on. If the issue persists, turn the printer off, unplug the power cord and then wait at least three minutes before plugging the power cord back in and turning the printer back on.
Open Settings -> Devices -> Printers and Scanners (or run a quick access URI command: ms-settings:printers ); Select a printer you want to remove and click Remove Device; Confirm the printer removal.
Many printer models require at least some ink in all cartridges to keep printing. However, if you`re lucky, your software may allow you to squeeze out the rest of your color ink without using black.

Hangs after a few copies…have to turn off to "unhang".
ANSWER : That sounds an awful lot like a sticking solenoid issue. What happens is that after a few sheets, the solenoid gets hot and the pickup roller release plate sticks to the residue of a deteriorated foam damper. When it sticks, it allows the roller to continue rotating and that results in the blank sheet that was fed too early confusing the paper path sensor. Only way to fix it is to remove the printer from the cassette tray part and then you take the metal plate off the top of the tray to access the solenoid. You then have to remove the solenoid, take the spring and metal plate off and scrape off the gooey residue. It’s recommended you replace it with a thin piece of sticky backed felt. You can find it at the hardware store. It’s what they put on the bottom of chair legs to minimize scratching.

canon i560 won't turn on
ANSWER : By this time, I have seen many of Canon Pixma printers, which had stopped working unexpectionally. Mostly after print head cleaning. There was no problem in power source or button board. The problem is on mainboard. Most likely it is build in “programmed death” by producer. I dont support this brand more.
