When the message “Ink absorber full.” is displayed, the printer stops printing and needs ink absorber replacement. Push the power button to turn OFF the printer, and then contact the service center for replacement. Request either Canon or the dealer you purchased the machine for a repair service.
With the printer powered on, select Setup . Select Device settings . Scroll to the bottom of the menu list and select Reset settings. In the Reset settings menu, select the desired area you want to set back to the factory defaults.
If you do so, the toner inside the container may spill out. Be sure to replace the waste toner container with a new one. Waste toner cannot be reused.
You have the option of disposing of your existing cartridge and replacing it with a new one, but the far most cost-effective option is to empty this waste toner cartridge yourself. Below, we`re going to step you through how you can save on your printing expenses by handling this process yourself.
Press and hold the “Power” button and reconnect the power cord. When the printer comes on, release the button. Wait five seconds and push the “Power” button again. This resets the printer`s internal memory and overrides the “Ink Absorber Full” error code.
Insert the Waste Ink Drain Tube coupler into the Waste Ink Drain, on the back of the printer. It will click and lock into position. Loosen the Black Plastic Cap on the top of the Waste Ink Tank. The waste ink will flow out of the Waste Ink Drain Tube.
Restoring the factory-set defaults returns most of the settings to the factory defaults. It will not reset the page count, tray size, or language.
If there is plenty of ink and the printer does not print, clean the Print Head then print the nozzle check pattern to ensure ink is ejected properly. If the problem is not resolved after performing Print Head Cleaning twice, carry out the Print Head Deep Cleaning.
Without it, toner powder can collect in the printer and negatively affect print quality. Laser printers with a waster toner bottle use a sensor to track the toner waste level, notifying you when it is time for replacement.
DO NOT reuse the waste toner box. DO NOT put the waste toner box into a fire. It could explode. Be careful not to spill the toner.
After you have printed approximately 20,000 pages at 5% coverage for CMYK each, you must change the waste toner box. The actual number of printed pages will vary depending on the print jobs and paper you use.
Waste toner bottles are separate from the toner cartridges used for printing. The specific purpose of waste containers is to catch leftover residue on the drum.
Resetting your printer gives you the ability to restore it to its original functionality. Moreover, this process also resolves any small or extensive technical issues, including slow printing or unresponsiveness. There are about four different types of Canon printer resets, and we`re here to discuss them all.
Apply rubbing alcohol, hair spray, or hand sanitizer to dilute the stain, making it easier to remove during the wash. These solvents help tackle most types of ink stains but remember to test the stained garment for colorfastness first as they can also attack fabric dyes and cause further damage.
Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
The bottom part of the printer Canon Pixma is fully covered with sponges and forms the so-called waste ink tank. Each time you clean the printheads on your inkjet printer, ink is sucked out of the printer`s print nozzles and out of the cartridges, and into the sponges on the bottom of the printer via one or more hoses.
Ideally, you should recycle them as soon as they`ve been used, as this stops the ink residue left inside the cartridge from drying out, making them easier to clean. The cartridges can then be refilled, re-sold and reused.
Waste Tank Full or Ink Waste Tray Full message on your meter means your ink system requires maintenance.
A waste toner box collects waste powder, it`s available in some laser printer models. Any powder that is left over from the print process is collected into the box. Once the waste toner box is full, the printer will stop working until you have it replaced.
The fine dust from a toner cartridge can stain clothes, carpets, and skin very quickly. Unwanted stains are undoubtedly annoying but still a far cry from legitimate health concerns.
Q: Does ink dry in ink tank printers? A: Yes, just like how ink dries up in cartridges that are not used for extended periods of time, so can ink dry up in an ink tank printer. Ink tank printers are inherently still inkjet printers so it inherits the same problems.
Reset. Resetting the printer stops printing and clears the current print job received from the active interface. You may want to reset the printer when there is a problem with the print job itself and the printer cannot print successfully.
Power down the printer and then unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall. Wait for a minute, then plug the printer back in. The printer will reset and turn on.
Most consumer-grades printers have very little storage memory, and that`s typically volatile memory. To wipe out the memory, unplug the printer and let it sit for a while before re-plugging it in. The data will likely be gone.

Epson 2400 waste ink tank full?
ANSWER : The “waste tank” is actually just a foam sponge cut to fit space under the print head travel. If you’re careful you can get it out with a pair of long ! tweezers, rinse it in water and dry it. It may come out in pieces…assemble them as a template to make a new one or try to buy a new one on- line. Before putting it back in clean the whole region under the head travel as best you can with plenty of paper towels. This is a messy job, so prevention will save a lot of cleanup. Good luck.
