Not familiar with how the inside of the door looks but you might be able to tear a piece of paper & bend it to fit in the sensor & tape it down. There is a piece of plastic that normally would be on the inside of the door & blocks the light sensor when the door closes. Sounds like that piece got broken but I’d imagine you can just block it with paper or thin cardboard & tape it in place to prevent it from falling loose.

This usually occurs when one or more toners are not fully seated. Most times it is the black cartridge lock on the left side breaks so the black toner cartridge is sitting a bit out on the left side and the door will not close. Easy to tell. Just remove all the toners and see if you can close the door.

Faulty power cords and connections are an uncommon but possible cause of a printer not turning on. Testing by substitution can confirm if a cord connection is the problem.
If you are having trouble getting your cartridge to read properly or are having connectivity issues with your printer, sometimes a hard reset will resolve the problem. Power down the printer and then unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall. Wait for a minute, then plug the printer back in.
