How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced technical support :

If the nozzle check pattern shows adequate ink, but the printer doesn`t print color, clean the printhead. After that, print a nozzle check pattern. After performing printhead cleaning, perform a printhead deep cleaning. If still, the problem persists, switch off your printer and do the deep cleaning after a day.
A possible cause may be that appropriate paper is not used or the amount remaining in toner cartridges is running low.
Make sure the document is set to print in color and enable the color printing feature on your printer. Check the ink level and replace the ink cartridge if necessary. Clean the print head. Most printers have an automatic cleaning feature now.
If the problem is isolated to one color, set the printer to Disable Cartridge Check and swap cartridges. If the problem disappears, the old cartridge was obviously bad. If the problem persists, something associated with the cartridge is to blame: its high voltage contact, high voltage circuit, or laser scanner.
At the Windows Manage your device screen, click Printer properties. Click Preferences. From the Color Mode dropdown, choose either Color or Black and White.
Both RGB and CMYK are modes for mixing colour in graphic design. Monitors use RGB whereas printers use CMYK. This means that RGB colour mode is best for digital designs, while CMYK is best for print materials.
Wipe clean the cartridge carriage where the cartridge connects to remove any dried ink (make sure the printer is off and unplugged). If the printhead is built into the printer, clean where the ink comes out with a damp cloth. Re-install cartridges and run a print head cleaning process.
A common cause of faded, faint printouts from your inkjet printer is dried ink particles causing a blockage in your printer. The printheads on an ink cartridge can be become blocked if the printer is not used for a period of time, so it is recommended to print a few pages each month to maintain the print quality.
Color calibration enables your printer to produce consistent colors with the particular printheads, inks and paper type that you are using, and under your particular environmental conditions.
The first step in printer calibration is to calibrate your monitor. Then, make sure you use the correct printer driver for your printer. Within the printer driver are controls for fine-tuning the overall appearance of color from your printer. Depending on your needs, this may be sufficient to get the color you want.
There may be two reasons for this: Your computer monitor has not been calibrated and profiled so it has a yellow cast and when you make corrections to you images, the results show a blue cast. You have not calibrated your printer recently and it is causing the blue shift.
