How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Make sure your devices are properly connected with each other, and the network or the cable you use to connect these devices is normal. You can also try restarting your HP printer. Turn it off completely and unplug the power cord, leave it for a couple of minutes, and then plug the cord back and power on the printer.
The printer is either low in toner, the density is set too low, or the Economode may be turned on. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it. This will redistribute the toner and often will temporarily solve the problem. However, this usually indicates it is time to install a new cartridge.
Common factors include driver problems, software issues, hardware failures and overuse.
Turning the power ON/OFF while the print monitor screen is displayed may cause the printer driver to go off-line and make printing impossible. In this case, open the [Printers / Printers and Faxes / Devices and Printers] folder on the computer and check if your printer driver is shown as off-line.
Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on. Release the Resume button. The Attention and Ready lights cycle while the product restores factory defaults.
Restart your computer, and then immediately press the F11 key repeatedly. Click Start . Press and hold the Shift key, click Power, and then select Restart while holding the Shift key. Continue holding the Shift key while the computer restarts.
Turn the printer off then back on. If the issue persists, turn the printer off, unplug the power cord and then wait at least three minutes before plugging the power cord back in and turning the printer back on. If the issue persists, ensure the product is running the latest firmware available from HP.com.
Open HP Smart app, click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix. Follow the instructions if any issues are found. If you still can`t print, remove and re-add the printer.
Verify the ink cartridge(s) is inserted properly. Some cartridges snap in place, and if they are not inserted fully, the printer won`t print anything. If a lever is moved from its original position to allow for installation of ink cartridges, ensure it is returned to its original position.

Printer stops pulling paper from tray 2 after a few sheets
ANSWER : Sticking pickup roller solenoid. Pretty easy fix. You need to remove the right side covers. The back one just slides off, but the top holds the front one. I usually just take the 2 right side screws off and gently lift the top enough to pop off the side panel. Open the metal door on the formatter assy. Then release the tab in the middle. There’s also a tab at the front of the panel. When putting it back on, make sure you engage the rocker switch and the metal rod before pushing it into place. When you get it open, you’ll see the solenoid at the bottom front. There’s 1 screw holding it in place. Remove it and take the top plate and spring off. Be careful not to lose the spring. Then scrape off the gooey crap on top and clean off the plate as well. I put a piece of thin sticky backed felt in place of the remnants of the disintegrating sponge that HP uses. You can find it at the hardware store used for the bottom of chair legs.

Print without stopping
ANSWER : I would think it was probably a sticking pickup roller solenoid. To prove that, you should try the same job from the manual tray. That uses a different solenoid.
