Question: When the Printer states `Warming up,` are the Ink Cartridges warming up, or another part? The “Warming Up” error comes up on the screen when trying to scan, make copies, or when the product starts up. This is related to the printer`s control unit. 1) Take out the cartridges.

If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.

Unable to scan, copy, or send a fax or Scanner System Failure error displays. The error displays for scanner hardware or power issues, such as a scanner bar jam or calibration issue, low scanner bulb temperature, or an internal or external electrical problem. It is not related to network or USB connection issues.

When the X-ray tube`s anode is cold, heat production may require a lot of effort, which could cause damage to your machine. For this reason, you must prevent this sudden change of temperature from damaging your tubes by having a warm-up sequence, allowing your CT scanner to gradually warm-up.

In this case, it is normal and scanning begins after the scanner finishes warming up. Warm up may take up to 30 seconds.

Laser printers should always be allowed to warm up to room temperature before they`re switched on. If the office keeps a lower heat setting at night than during work hours, give the equipment time to feel the heat before it`s time to get to work.

1. Paper Jams. Paper jams are a common problem for printers, resulting in time-consuming and frustrating delays. It can occur when loose sheets of paper get stuck in the rollers or feeding mechanism of the printer.

If a Firewall on your computer is active, it may be rejecting the necessary network connection needed for the network scanning software to operate properly. Disable the Firewall on your computer and try the network scanning again. Temporarily change your firewall/security settings to allow network connection.

Open the HP Print and Scan Troubleshooter

Make sure the printer is on and connected to your laptop. Select HP Print and Scan Doctor on the HP Customer Support page to download the troubleshooter. Click HPPSdr.exe to open the software`s window. Click Start and select the printer that doesn`t scan.

Click the Scan tile on the HP Smart app home screen. Select an option from the top menu bar. Scanner: Place the original on the printer scanner glass or into the automatic document feeder (ADF). Select scan job type, size, color, and resolution settings, and then click Scan in the lower right corner.
