Turn the printer off, wait 20 seconds and turn it back on again. Both USB and Wi-Fi connected printers require the correct and current printer driver is installed on the computer you`re printing from. Go to Xerox support, search for your printer and download the latest driver for your printer model.
Begin by restarting your software application. If that doesn`t work, reboot your computer. Lastly, turn off your printer for a few minutes before switching it back on.
The printer`s default name is listed on the Configuration Page (see The printer`s Configuration Page ). If the name does not appear, check the cable connection between your printer and the network.
Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are correctly inserted into the computer and the printer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends. Disconnect the printer and the computer and reconnect them. Try another USB port if available.
Among the more common technical issues that may bring down a printer are disconnected cables, malfunctioning routers, and low ink levels. Moreover, software problems such as interrupted connections or incorrect settings in your system`s drivers can also cause your printer to show up as offline.
To view the IP address of the printer on the control panel: At the printer control panel, press the Home button. Touch Device > About. The IP address appears in the Network section of the About screen for Wired IPv4 Address or Wired IPv6 Address.
Click [Start] to display the application list. Select [Windows System Tool] – [Control Panel] – [Devices and Printers].
Simply plug the USB cable from your printer into an available USB port on your PC, and turn the printer on. On the taskbar, select the Search icon, type Printers in the search bar, and then select Printers & scanners from the search results to open the Printers & scanners system setting.
Restart All Your Devices

A restart helps fix any software glitches that could cause your wireless printer and connected devices not to work properly together. The wireless printer, router, computer/other device, wireless access point and modem all rely on your home or office network in order to connect to the internet.
