If your duplex (double-sided / two-sided) prints are printing upside-down (or `short-edge` when you`re expecting `long-edge`), then you will need to set the `Duplex (long-edge) back-sheet treatment` under Edit printer to `Rotate`. Duplex dropdown option set to rotate within a printer`s settings.
This occurs due to the binding position automatically being set to [Long Edge [Top]] when the printing orientation is [Landscape].
Print by using manual duplex

In Word, do the following: Click the File tab. Click Print. Under Settings, click Print One Sided, and then click Manually Print on Both Sides.

What is happening is there is a two-sided option that allows you to switch between having to flip the page along the long edge or the short edge. If you go to where you selected your two-sided printing and change the printing to the other option, the second page will print with the correct orientation.
To print on the second side, put the paper face down, with the leading edge (top) of the paper in first. If letterhead paper is used, put it in with the heading face down and in first. To print on the second side, put the heading face up and in first.
In fact, some printers actually output documents in reverse order because of the way they stack the pages in the output tray, so turning off the “reverse pages” setting yields backward documents. If your document pages emerge with the last on top, check your printing settings for an option that inverts page order.
To fix this issue, try rotating the pages to the correct orientation using the page rotation tool in your PDF editor.
If you want to go to the next page by pulling the bottom of each page up to reveal the next page, choose `flip up`, if you want to go to the next page by pulling the right hand of each page to the left to reveal the next page, choose `flip over`.
For a top load printer, the paper typically moves in somewhat of a straight line through the printer. This means that the side of the paper facing you as the paper goes in is the same side of the paper facing you as it comes back out. In a front load printer, the paper switches direction and flips over during printing.
Adobe Reader has an Auto Rotate function that can be enabled or disabled on the printing dialog.
Change the page orientation for a document

Go to Layout > Orientation, and then select Landscape. Go to File > Print.

Last updated: 14/06/21. Reverse printing, also known as negative printing, is where only the background is printed. The natural colour of the tape is left exposed to form text and graphics. For example, in the above image (top left), a naturally white packing tape has been blanketed with black ink.
Go to the Printers tab and select your printer from the list. In the Administrators drop-down list, choose Set Default Options. To enable double-sided printing, select Long-edge Binding or Short-Edge Binding for the Two-Sided option. To disable double-sided printing, choose Off.
In normal duplex, both sides have the same orientation, as in most books. In tumble duplex, the back of each page is upside down compared to the front of the page: the top of one side of the sheet is at the same edge as the bottom of the other side.
Duplex printing is an environmentally friendly way to print. It uses half the amount of paper, requires less energy, and takes up less room than one-sided printing. According to HeatPressGuide, “The amount of output your printer can handle is also worth considering in a double-sided printer.
Flip on Long Edge: The document will print double-sided and the pages will flip on the long edge. This is the choice normally made when the pages are printed in Portrait orientation.
Change Print Settings Windows

Select the printer you`d like to use, and select the Properties button. Under the Layout tab, you can choose the method you want under the Print on Both Sides section. By choosing None, the document will print single-sided.

Go to Organize menu, click on Reverse to reverse the page order of the document and save it.
Open your document in WPS Writer. 2. Press the shortcut key Ctrl+P to activate the Print interface, then check Duplex at Printer.
turn upside down, or throw so as to reverse. synonyms: flip, turn over. type of: turn. change orientation or direction, also in the abstract sense.
Broadly, the term “flip” applies to an investment strategy for real estate in which the investor can acquire or manage assets for a short time, add some improvement to the assets, and then sell or flip the assets for profit.
• Flip on long edge will print the pages so that you flip them side-to-side like you would. for an up-right book or binder (ie. – along the long edge black arrow). • Flip on short edge will print the pages so that you flip them over the top as you would. for a calendar (ie./ – along the short edge red arrow).
If the tray feeds the printer at the bottom, the normal path is the side that`s facing down meets the print head. If it feeds from the back, it`s the one facing up. Except when it isn`t. The trick I used to do to find out was to get a piece of paper and put it into the drawer by itself.
