How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Check the Auto Power Off setting. If this setting is set to On, the printer will automatically power off after the Low Power Timeout, Sleep Timeout, and Auto Power Off Timeout complete. To prevent the printer from automatically powering off, disable the Auto Power Off feature.
Long Periods Of Inactivity

More often than not, your monitor will enter power-saving mode when your PC goes to sleep or, alternatively, when it remains inactive long enough to stop sending any video signal. To counteract this, change your Screen Timeout options in the Settings panel.

Printer sleep mode

Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.

Power Saver Mode 2 Timer: Specify how long the printer remains in Low Power Save mode before it goes into Very Low Power Save mode. Note: The sum of the two timers cannot exceed 119 minutes.
Sometimes Print Spooler service can keep stopping because of Print Spooler files – too many, pending, or corrupt files. Deleting your print spooler files can clear pending print jobs, or the too many files or solve the corrupt files to resolve the problem.
Common factors include driver problems, software issues, hardware failures and overuse.
Open your phone`s Settings app. Battery Saver. Turn on Turn off when charged.
There`s no risk to your phone`s battery when you use Battery Saver mode. In some ways, it may even extend the battery`s life as you aren`t constantly recharging it. Ultimately though, you don`t have to worry about it ruining the battery while using this battery-saving mode.
Toner-saver mode, sometimes referred to as eco-mode, focuses on using less toner on each page. To do this, the copier uses less toner on the area of the page that is being printed. It`s important to note that this mode doesn`t adjust or change how light or dark the printed pages are.
For healthier print heads and more efficient ink consumption, however, it`s better to leave your printer on. Constantly switching your printer off and on will decrease your printer`s lifespan, so try to keep the off/on to a minimum.
To keep your printer lasting longer, we recommend leaving your printer on. If it is off for a long period of time or if you turn it on and off again regularly, the printhead inside the printer will dry out faster. When you leave it on, you may hear the printer start up every once in a while and begin to calibrate.
Battery Saver, Power Saving, or Power Saving Mode is a feature available on all Android devices that aims to limit power consumption, so that your battery lasts a little longer until you get to charge it again. When turned on, this feature can add another hour or two to how much your battery lasts.
Suspend – The entire system is powered down, except the memory, which is kept alive to retain the data/code. This mode reduces power consumption very substantially. Hibernate – Everything is powered down, including the memory, the contents of which have been saved to flash memory.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
Some of the most common printer problems that most of us have experienced include paper jamming, slow printing, uneven printing, and wrong colour output. If you use your printer frequently, we know how annoying it can be to have persisting problems with the printer.
Check for Loose Cables and Network Connection

A temporary power outage, even one that lasts only a few seconds, could have been enough to knock your wireless router off the network. Rebooting or otherwise resetting the modem or router should fix the problem and bring the printer back online.

Low Power Mode reduces the amount of power that your iPhone or iPad uses when the battery gets low. To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings > Battery. You can also turn Low Power Mode on and off from Control Center.
Between printing jobs, the printer can be left unused for up to one week. If the printer will not be used for more than a week, use the Shutdown wizard to automatically perform the procedures that must be done before turning off the printer (see Shutting Down the Printer).
Most printers also have non-volatile memory (a hard drive) that is stored until you physically delete it. Even if you power your printer off, memory on the hard drive will remain. This type of memory can be concerning if you frequently print confidential documents and data.
Press the WPS button on the device you wish to connect. Within 120 seconds, press the WPS button on the wireless router. Note: You will need to press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router for about 2-3 seconds. After a short period of time, your device and the wireless router will be connected.
The WPS button simplifies the connection process

Press the WPS button on your router to turn on the discovery of new devices. Then, go to your device and select the network you want to connect to. The device is automatically connected to the wireless network without having to enter the network password.

Most copiers last between three to five years, under average circumstances. This figure is often surprising to business owners, who expect copiers to last for much longer. If your copier is giving you trouble, consider when you purchased the machine.
You may see a “printer offline” error if your computer can`t communicate with your printer. This can be caused by loose cable connections or an outdated printer driver or operating system.

HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless with fake paper jam
ANSWER : HP Officejet is by far one of the frustrating piece of equipment I have ever owned. I bought it as unused in the package, at that point no warranty left. less than 6 months and 500 pages the white cog gear wheel broke. Luckily with instructions in this site I manage to glue it back together. Then I bought new ink – problems started as they were not original HP 30$ per cartridge. Ordered originals (here in China), took over one week to get them. Then found out that printhead needed to be replaced => more than 100$ spent. Still constant problems: If my wife kids print, I need to be stand-by as you never know what happens. Really an Office level equipment. After cleaning one paper jam I broke the encoder tape, took me another 4 hours to get it fixed. Then broke the cog gear again and got it displaced. Another 4 hours. Only reason I am not throwing this s***t out of window is that there are still ink left. Luckily this drinks them like a horse, for sure I will no more buy new ink. I will get a new laser instead, and not from HP. About cog wheel fixing: make sure that the white wheel is positioned correctly so that the small torx in shaft goes into the slit in the white wheel. When fitting the black cover back, make sure that the white washers on both sides fit into to slits of the black cover. Good luck.
