How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Color laser printers use colored toner (dry ink), typically cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK).
Lexmark`s new generation of color printers and MFPs create our brightest, sharpest, most accurate output ever.
The biggest differences between inkjet and laser printers is that an inkjet printer uses ink, is suitable for low volume printing, and is the traditional choice of home users, while a laser printer uses toner, is ideal for high volume printing, is mostly utilized in office settings but is also suitable and is a more …
Also known as black and white printers, monochrome printers use only black ink or toner. Monochrome printers can not print in color.
Did you know that a green laser light is ten to 50 times brighter than a red light laser? Green lasers are much more efficient and visible in areas of broad daylight and direct sunlight. They are also able to travel longer distances, which is why they are so popular on construction sites.
The most common laser pointers are red (630 nm-670 nm), green (520 nm and 532 nm) and violet (405 nm and 445 nm). Our eyes are most sensitive to green light. Thus a green laser will appear brighter than a red or violet laser, even though the power output is the same.

Instead of recognizing red, green and blue (RGB) values often used on desktops, high-end digital printers use a CMYK color wheel consisting of cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black). In both processes, colors combine to print dark colors that may appear as black ink.
Both RGB and CMYK are modes for mixing color in graphic design. As a quick reference, the RGB color mode is best for digital work, while CMYK is used for print products.
If you are printing high volumes of text documents, research papers, memos and letters and need those prints quickly and efficiently then a monochrome printer would fit your needs. Advances in printer technology now mean that the difference in cost between monochrome and colour printers is closer than ever before.
For example, if you mainly print black and white text, then using the monochrome setting or investing in a monochrome printer is the best choice. Grayscale printing is better for black-and-white images, because of this setting`s ability to create various contrasting shades and finer details.
It`s generally considered more cost-efficient than its colored counterpart. Monochrome printers are typically used in professional environments due to their faster printing speed, lower cost per printed page, and in the case of monochrome laser printers, superior text quality.
Laser Printers work with CMYK toners only. inkjet printers and ink printers used for professional photo printing, for example, can use additional colors to achieve better printer results. Among other things, brighter gradations of magenta, cyan and also gray are used.
RGB is used in electronic devices, like computer monitors, while printing uses CMYK.
The basic colours are cyan, a combination of blue and green; magenta, a combination of red and blue; and yellow, a combination of red and green. Many ink makers and printers call cyan “process blue,” magenta “process red,” and yellow “process yellow.”

Print Quality Issue (Streaks and Ghosting)
ANSWER : Streaks are mostly caused by internal drum wiper blades that clean left over toner off the drum to prepare it for a new image. Ghosting is caused by a leftover image on the drum. The 6 inches that you mention would be the circumference of the part that is causing it. Fusers will never cause either problem.
