In the Services window, locate the Print Spooler service. Right-click on Print Spooler and select Stop. Minimize the Services window. Now open the Windows Settings panel, go to Bluetooth & devices > Scanners and Printer, and try to remove your printer device.
Touch or click Devices and Printers (Control panel). Touch and hold or right-click your printer`s icon. Touch or click See What`s Printing. Touch or click Cancel All Documents.
In the command prompt window, type `net stop spooler`, and then press `Enter`. In a few seconds, the command prompt will display `The Print Spooler service was stopped successfully`.

Cancel a print job from the printer control panel
Canceling from the control panel stops only the current job. It does not cancel any other pending print jobs in the queue. For printers with buttons, press the Cancel button . For printers with a touchscreen, touch X, Stop, or Cancel.

In Windows, search for and open Control Panel. Click Devices and Printers. For each printer icon that represents the name of your HP printer, right-click the icon, and then click Remove Device or Uninstall device.
Update the Printer Drivers and Then Uninstall the Printer
If you`re using outdated or faulty printer drivers, that may be why you can`t remove your printer from your PC. To deal with this, first update your printer`s drivers and then try to remove the printer.
In the Open box, type control printers, and then click OK. Right-click the icon for your printer, and then click Open. To cancel individual print jobs, right-click the print job that you want to cancel, and then click Cancel. To cancel all print jobs, click Cancel All Documents on the Printer menu.
Click Start > Settings > Devices. Click on Printers & scanners. Check or uncheck Let Windows manage your default printer on the right. We can also make the changes by downloading our registry files or editing the registry.
Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default.
