Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.

The problem of the printer icon not displaying in devices & Printers is frequently resolved by downloading and installing the most recent printer driver. If your printer drivers are out of sync, they may not function until you download and install the latest update.

Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Hardware and Sound | Devices and Printers. This screen will show you all of the printers that are installed. Right-click on the printer that is experiencing problems, and then select the Troubleshoot command from the shortcut menu.

Remove and Re-Add Your Printer in Windows

If this happens, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and remove it. Then click Add a Printer or Scanner to re-add it to the device list.

Every printer has a control panel somewhere on its body. The fancy printers have LCD control panels that display text, or preview and select photos for printing. Less fancy printers may have a control panel of only a couple of buttons.

To choose a default printer: Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default.

Open Command Prompt by pressing the Windows key and typing cmd. Type netstat -r. Press Enter. You will now be able to see a list of network devices connected to your computer and your printer`s IP.

If this happens, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and remove it. Then click Add a Printer or Scanner to re-add it to the device list.

The front panel is a touch-sensitive screen with a graphical user interface. The front panel has a large central area to display dynamic information and icons. On the left and right sides you can see up to six fixed icons at different times; it is located on the front left of the printer.

Your printer should have been packaged with a USB cable regardless of whether it is a wireless or wired printer. Plug the cable into your printer and your computer`s USB port. The direct linking should trigger your computer to recognize the printer and start up the software needed to complete the installation.

Add the printer to your list of available printers: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) If you don`t see your printer listed on the left, click the Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax button on the right.
