Try restarting or troubleshooting

Sometimes the simplest way to fix your wireless printer problem is to restart your computer, your printer, and your router. This is often the quickest and easiest fix. When everything is back online, often the problem is gone!

Wi-Fi printers

Go to the Start menu and click Settings, Devices, then Printers & scanners. Select Add a printer or scanner and wait for your printer to appear in the list, then select it and hit Add device. If Windows doesn`t find your printer, select The printer that I want isn`t listed and follow the instructions.

Status unknown means a circumstance where samples were scheduled to be taken by the regional water quality control plant and were not, samples were taken but not yet analyzed by the report due date or where a new discharger has yet to be sampled.

If the LabelWriter appears as Unspecified or Unknown in Devices and Printers on Windows, it usually means that the computer has not identified that device as a printer yet.

Check to see if your internet router is working, and make sure that your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer. If your printer is part of the same network and your internet is working, the printer may be out of range, or your internet connection might be too weak.

Make sure File and Printer Sharing and Network Discovery are enabled on the printer server or the computer where the printer is physically connected. If this feature is disabled on a printer server you`ll know fairly quickly because nobody in the office would be able to see or connect to any of the server`s printers.

In the Devices and Printers window click on Add a printer. Choose “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”, then click Next. Select Create a new port and choose Standard TCP/IP Port, then click Next. Under Hostname or IP address: Type in the IP address of the printer you intend to connect to.

Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default. If you don`t see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected.

To fix the error code 0x0000011b related to networked or shared printers, Microsoft says you should disable the print spooler privacy settings on both the Client PC (from which you work) and Print Server (Workstation to which the printer is attached).

Your printer`s driver is corrupted. Your printer`s driver isn`t compatible with your system. Your printer`s driver is not up-to-date. A new Windows Update needs to be installed.

Some printers go into “Sleep mode” after minutes of inactivity. In Sleep mode, the printer will appear offline on your computer. Press the printer`s power button (or any button) to “wake” it up. Wait for some seconds and check if that changes the printer status to “Online” on your computer.
