Initial Ink Cartridges. AC Power Cable.

Why is my Epson printer skipping lines when printing? Apart from a clogged printhead, one other potential culprit is the electronic connection of your cartridges with your printer. Try removing your cartridges from your printer, and then shutting your printer down.
If you own a standard Epson home inkjet printer, it likely uses DURABrite cartridges. Epson Claria Photo HD cartridges contain mostly dye-based ink and are designed for amateur photo printing.
Epson makes both dye-based and pigment-based inks. Its UltraChrome Hi-Gloss, used in its high-end Stylus Photo R1800 printer, is pigment-based and is rated to last 250 years. Meanwhile, Epson`s Claria Hi-Definition, which is used in printers like its Epson Stylus Photo 1400, is claimed to last 98 years.
Epson`s DFX printer uses four sets of 9 pins for the fastest printing. 24-pin printer print sharper, more detailed text. Heavy-Duty printers are faster and handle thicker forms and larger workloads with ease.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

On your computer, in the Windows Notification Area (bottom-right corner of your Windows desktop), right-click the printer icon. In the printer menu, select the Properties or Preferences option. In the printer settings window, the ink or toner levels are displayed for the currently-installed cartridge(s).
Click the start menu and search for `Devices and Printers`. Select devices and printers in the search bar. This will allow you to see the printers connected to the computer. Click the printer you want to check, and you`ll see the ink levels at the bottom of the devices and printers section.
All cartridges must be installed with ink for printing and printer maintenance. For print quality, some ink remains in replaced cartridges. Designed for EPSON cartridges only: Other brands of ink supplies are not compatible and, if described as compatible, may not function properly or continuously.
The inks are Cyan, Light Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Vivid Light Magenta, Yellow, Gray, Light Gray, Violet, Photo Black, and Matte Black. The ink cartridges have 50ml of ink in them. The ink is rated to last 200 years for color prints and 400 years for black and white prints.
The short answer is – YES! Most printers do include cartridges in the box with your printer, but it is important to note, the majority of cartridges that are included are starter cartridges. Starter cartridges are intended to get your printer up and running.
What`s in the box: Epson WorkForce WF-7620 All-in-One printer. DURABrite® Ultra Ink Cartridges7 – Four 252-series ink cartridges: Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow. Instruction manual.

Multiple Problems With Epson Stylus Photo R280
ANSWER : I have had my R280 for about 3 years. It has worked fine with generic cartridges for several years now. Last week it indicated I needed to replace one cartridge. I used a generic cartridge from the same manufacturer I had used before. The printer would not accept the new cartridge and now told me that I needed to replace 4 cartridges because it recognized them as non Epson. Surely there is some way to fool the printer so it does not recognize generic cartridges – which have worked well in the past and are still over half full! Anyone got any ideas?

Epson Stylus Photo R200 – flashing red lights
ANSWER : The R800 will flash the ink and paper lights alternately when the ink pads are assumed to be full from extensive head cleaning. Sometimes, if not always, the head will lock into place on the right side above the ink head cleaning sponges that release ink to the lower ink pads.To correct the problem you need to clean the sponge area, I use cotton swabs. If the head is locked to need to release the carriage lock with a screwdriver. This will require removing the cover, but not necessarily the bottom of the unit. There is a 179 page service manual available for download for $16.50. There are free downloads of this manual, but usually are missing the 100 pages. You can remove the cover by:1. Remove the three screws on the rear housing (One to the left of the power plug, one on the opposite side and one in the lower middle bottom.2. Remove the three screws inside the upper housing (Just under the lid where the hinge is).3. Remove the screw under the left and right side in back below the vents.4. In the back pull the white ribbon closest to you out of the block, do not try to remove the block itself.5. Place a screwdriver into the slot both on the right and lift of the bottom corners on the back to release the hooks that hold the upper unit.6. Lastly, put a screwdriver into the notches on the bottom of the printer located in the front right and left, they are spring loaded.7. Remove cover.8. The head lock release screw is in the right side of the printer and is partially covered by the lower housing. I drilled a half inch hole into the side as to be able to insert a screwdriver. Turn the screw to the left and the head will rise out of the locked position. You only need to turn enough to release the head.9. Clean the sponges and any areas you see with excess ink.10. Place the cover on the unit enough to plug the white ribbon back in and turn the unit on.If the printer lights stop flashing then you are all set.
