Parts that may be included in a maintenance kit are the fuser assembly, transfer roller, pickup rollers, separation pads, corona assembly, fan assembly, cleaning cloths and gloves. The fuser assembly is a pair of rollers that fuse the toner into the fibers of the paper.
A printer maintenance kit contains all of the tools and supplies needed to perform preventative maintenance at the appropriate time for your office or home printers.
The imaging cartridge is separate. You have the toner cartridge, and the imaging. The Maintenance Kit is a separate kit that contains a number of items to be replaced in the printer.
The biggest difference lies in the name, as they tend to include all of the same parts. A maintenance kit should include a new fuser assembly, and a fuser kit should include all the necessary maintenance parts.
A component found in electrostatic printers, laser printers, and xerographic printers and photocopiers. The fuser unit is used to permanently bond toner to a substrate by applying heat and pressure. A fuser unit is made up of two rollers; one to apply heat and one to apply pressure.
Printer calibration enables you to keep track of “device drift”. Over time, even with consistent use of the same consumables (ink, toner, paper), your printer will suffer from device drift. We calibrate to make the printer behave consistently and bring it back into a repeatable state.
Paper Jams

This is a common laser printer problem. Primary causes include grime, dust, worn rollers, or incorrect paper weight. The most basic way to prevent paper jams is simply through regular cleaning of your printer. Also, replace parts as needed.

The printer is either low in toner, the density is set too low, or the Economode may be turned on. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it. This will redistribute the toner and often will temporarily solve the problem. However, this usually indicates it is time to install a new cartridge.
Toner is the powder ink that latches on to the paper to create text and images. It is stored in the toner cartridge. An image drum is the unit that copies the text and images from the computer and then transfers them to the paper, along with the toner.
Most types of maintenance fall under two main categories: preventive and corrective.
There are 4 key types of maintenance management strategies including run-to-failure maintenance, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability-centered maintenance. These maintenance management strategies can be used together, or independently.
The Maintenance Toolbox provides the elements and connector for defining and monitoring Issues, Defects, Changes, work Tasks and Tests for project management.
An operation and maintenance (O&M) manual is a document that provides essential details about property and equipment upkeep. O&M manuals provide maintenance personnel with detailed guidance on extending asset life cycles, minimizing unplanned shutdowns, reducing maintenance costs, and keeping workers safe.

Need help for cleaning epson r300, have a kit
ANSWER : Don’t worry about the paper towel. Keep the heads as far to the right as you can and the fluid will just go into the waste sponge underneath. There’s nothing you can damage with the fluid. I wouldn’t worry about the pad that got torn. Just insert the syringe in the nozzle and gently push the fluid down into the heads. This site sold tens of thousands of those kits and I guess the instructions were pretty good because there was never a single complaint.

Maintenace kit won't insert — entrance locked
ANSWER : If you shut printer down without the MK in it the Drum Maintenance Camshaft or the Transfix Cam shaft would not be in the proper position to insert the MK. You might be able to manually rotate the shafts without taking things apart so the MK can be installed. Check the gears on those two shafts as well…I had a gear split on Transfix shaft and couldn’t install MK – had to replace shaft and realign gears (not a piece of cake).
