Perform a power reset.
  1. Press the On/Resume button ( ) to turn on the product.
  2. With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  4. Wait at least 15 seconds.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

Turn the product on while you press and hold the Resume button for 10-20 seconds. The Attention light turns on. Release the Resume button. The Attention and Ready lights cycle while the product restores factory defaults.

ANSWER : Usually, it’s a scrap of paper stuck where the paper comes up out of the tray and takes the bend up into the printer. With the trays out, tilt the printer backwards and look up into the slot. You can usually see the paper stuck in the slot. If not, then take the cartridge out and lift up the flap at the front and look down there.

Canon Pixma iP3000 "Open door" Error code.
ANSWER : Look for a protruding plastic on the top that goes into an indentation. Mine was in the front left side. Put a piece of cardboard into the indentation.and close the door. The top plastic piece is not pushing the door close sensor down and because its too short and the cardboard allows the sensor to be reached and pushed.

Cant open HP Director in my mac
ANSWER : Try reinstalling it first from the CD and if that fails again, try downloading the software package from the official HP site and attempting an install that way. Apple makes it a pain to uninstall programs but doing an install on top of the existing one without first uninstalling could repair the issue. If you must uninstall the software there are programs that help uninstall programs from Mac systems.

Brother MFC 7220 "back cover open" error
ANSWER : Just googled this problem and delved into the innards of the machine. Lo and behold, there was a piece of paper stuck there and I have removed it (with difficulty). So it wasn’t “back cover” at all (which I kept on banging shut of course!). Misleading!
