After opening the lid, hold the ink button down. When you find the ink holer is moving to its position, then open the cartridge`s lid which is having no ink. Close it again without removing the cartridge. Close the lid and start to print.
Hey, you can reset Epson ink cartridge without resetter! As shown above, you can reset Epson chips by pressing and holding the button above the chip with a bent paper clip for 10 seconds.
Press and hold down the Cancel button for 3 seconds. When the message to reset the printer to default settings appears, press OK to reset the print settings. Note: This reset does not affect LCD contrast, Print Confirmation, or PictureMate Print Wizard settings.
The ink cartridges may not have been installed using the correct procedure, or they may not be seated correctly.
Open File Explorer. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS then press Enter on the keyboard. Press Control + A on the keyboard to select all items. Right click on any of the selected items, then select Delete to remove all print jobs.
If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead. Blurry documents and images that appear faded are also signs that it`s time to remove the excess ink.
The chip resetter tool is a self-contained unit that contacts the cartridge chip to get it to its electronic full setting, telling the printer it is full of ink and ready to print. If your printer is turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Keep the power plug unplugged for 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the wall, and turn on the printer. If the error persists, remove the cartridge from the printer, clean the cartridge contacts with a cloth, and reinstall the cartridges.
The chip in question tells the printer when toner levels are getting low. A useful feature, certainly, but one that printer companies often use to lock out third-party cartridges—without the chip, the printer will say it doesn`t know how much ink or toner is inside the cartridge, assume it`s zero, and refuse to print.
Once a cartridge has been installed in a printer it is marked as `protected`, so it can only be installed in that machine. This obviously means it cannot be refilled to use in another printer, essentially forcing it to landfill.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts: one of the most common reasons you might get a cartridge problem error when your cartridges are new and full is the contacts on the cartridge might be dirty or otherwise obscured from making good contact with the electronics in the printer head carriage.
