However, you must read the User`s Manual to find out how many pieces of card stock will fit, and to find out if card stock and regular print paper can be in the tray at the same time. Some HP printers can do this, but in some the paper must be removed, and then ONLY the card stock inserted.
Before sending your document to print, select Properties which will open your printer`s driver settings. Find the Paper Settings tab, this will allow you to select various media types that your printer can handle. Select your Paper Type. (Cardstock, Glossy Cardstock etc.)
Select your printer, and then click Properties or Printer Properties. Click the Paper/Quality tab. From the Paper Size drop-down list, select the option that matches your paper size and print job type.
You can achieve great printing results on quality, thick, heavy cardstock using an inkjet printer. And yes, you can save some money too! Inkjet printing is often an absolutely viable alternative to professionally designed, store-bought, and third-party printed cards.
Yes, glossy cardstock can be used in most laser printers and inkjet printers just like regular cardstock or photo paper. It can be used with both black and white and color printing, although color printing takes full advantage of it`s brightness.
Not all printers can print heavyweight cardstock. This can be further affected by paper grain.
The paper-thickness lever is located on the left side of the printer. The numbers next to the lever indicate the thickness setting. Use the table below to select the appropriate paper thickness.
If you are printing on paper over 200gsm, it is advisable that you use the bypass tray rather than a paper tray, as it passes the sheet on the straightest route through the printer, which will reduce the risk of paper jams, as the thick paper is less flexible than thin paper.
What is 11×17 paper called? It`s most common name is “Tabloid,” “B-Size,” in rare circumstance it is referred as “Ledger” size. All of these phrases can be used to refer to an 11″ x 17″ Sheet.
Tabloid/Ledger: Tabloid size printers support the bigger standard sizes of paper; a ledger size printer is commonly used for large-sized documents, measuring 11×17 inches.
The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is an excellent printer for cardstock and is compatible with cardstock weights up to 110 lb. It offers 4800 x 1200 dpi color resolution across a range of cardstock finishes, with excellent ink absorption.
Cardstock: Cardstock printer paper is thicker than ordinary paper. Its thickness and durability mean it`s often used to create paper menus, postcards and invitations. Cardstock can be coated or uncoated, depending on the project.
Matte paper uses less coating and undergoes less polishing than glossy paper. As a general rule of thumb, a gloss coating will give your photos and printed products an exquisite shine, high color saturation, and provide additional protection against stains and damage.
It`s important to make sure that your copier/printer can handle your desired paper thickness. Standard, desktop printers typically can`t handle anything over 80# cover, while a multifunction copier with a bypass tray can usually handle 100+ pounds.
For the best print quality, HP recommends HP Premium Inkjet papers. Paper that is too thin, too slick, or too stretchy can jam the product. Paper that has a rough or fibrous texture or that does not accept ink can cause printouts to smear, bleed, or not be filled in completely.
If you`re using an inkjet printer, you need paper labeled for use in an inkjet printer. Why? Because this type of paper is specially made to absorb the liquid ink used in the printing process. On the flip side, paper suitable for laser printers is made to withstand heat.
