Printers that can be easily fixed

Like the name suggests, all-in-one printers, also known as multifunction printers, are able to do much more than traditional printers. An all-in-one printer can print, copy, scan and sometimes more.

Check cables or wireless connection

Make sure that the printer`s USB cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. If your USB isn`t recognized, see Automatically diagnose and fix Windows USB problems. Check the wireless connection (for wireless printers).

Open the start menu and select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > and choose the Services icon. Locate the Print Spooler service and right-click. Then select the option to “Stop” the service.

Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner. Choose the printer you want, and then select Add Device. If you don`t see the printer you want, select The printer that I want isn`t listed.

Cabling. The vast majority of modern printers use a USB connection, which can also be found on nearly all computers. Many printers have a USB Type B socket, which is square rather than the rectangular Type A socket found on most computers, but compatible cables known as USB A-B are widely and cheaply available.

Click Start on your computer, then select Devices and Printers. Right-click on the printer`s icon that did not install correctly, then select Troubleshoot. After you confirm that the printer driver for the device you want to use is not installed, select Apply this fix.
