Faulty power cords and connections are an uncommon but possible cause of a printer not turning on. Before suspecting a cord failure, ensure that there is power to the wall outlet and there are no conditions preventing the printer from turning on. Testing by substitution can confirm if a cord connection is the problem.

Turn on the printer
Connect the power cord between the printer and a grounded AC outlet. Move the power switch on the lower-right bottom of the printer into the On position, and then press and release the On/off button on the front of the printer.
If your laptop won`t power up, a faulty power supply, failed hardware, or a malfunctioning screen could be to blame [1]. In many cases, you may be able to resolve the problem yourself by ordering replacement parts or adjusting your laptop`s configuration.
Open HP Smart app, click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix. Follow the instructions if any issues are found. If you still can`t print, remove and re-add the printer.
Printer sleep mode
Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.
If your printer is compatible with Windows 10, download and run the Print and Scan Doctor to detect and fix isses. If problems persist, reinstall the latest HP printing software. Download and Install the latest HP printer software and driver.
In Windows, search for and open Add a printer or scanner . Click Add a printer or scanner, and then wait for Windows to locate available printers. If your printer is found, click it, and then click Add device to complete the driver installation.
Turn the printer off then back on. If the issue persists, turn the printer off, unplug the power cord and then wait at least three minutes before plugging the power cord back in and turning the printer back on. If the issue persists, ensure the product is running the latest firmware available from HP.com.
Battery Troubles:
If your HP laptop has a removable battery, remove it and reinsert it after a few seconds. Sometimes, a faulty connection can cause the power light to blink. If you can access a spare battery, try swapping it to see if the issue persists.
Fix startup errors: Click Troubleshooting> Advanced Options> Startup Repair. Access the System in Safe Mode (Diagnostic Mode): Click Troubleshooting> Advanced Options> Startup Settings> click Restart> press the 5 or F5 key to access Safe Mode with Networking.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.

Laser printers use toner particles electrostatically deposited on paper to produce a viewable image. To adhere these particles to the paper, all laser printers utilize a device referred to as a “fuser.” Basically, the fuser consists of two rollers and a heat lamp.
Power down the printer and then unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall. Wait for a minute, then plug the printer back in. The printer will reset and turn on.
To use your HP printer in Windows 10 with S Mode, install the HP Smart app (in English) from the Microsoft store. Once the app is installed and connected to your printer, you can print, scan and access features from HP Smart.

Restart devices
If your printer connects to a Wi-Fi network, disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to. If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved.
You must press the power button to turn the printer back on.
To be specific, you should make sure that your printer has sufficient paper, ink or toner and without paper jam. If the printer cartridge`s status is faulty, you should replace it with a new one. After carrying out these operations, check if the HP printer can print properly. If not, try other methods immediately.
Connect the printer power cord to the printer and turn the printer back on. Disconnect the power cord from your wireless router. Wait 10 seconds before reconnecting it. It may take a few minutes for your internet to come back on.
