That’s a really old machine, I had helped someone replace a belt a year or 2 ago in a 450 also. Opened it up & when I went to release the belt motor (I think its called a scan axis or carriage motor) the plastic arm that wraps around a metal bar was cracked. Put the belt in anyway but it must have been bad enough as it would throw an error, I think he gave up and replaced the machine but don’t remember. Some parts like this are hard to find & if found are likely used and could suffer the same failure again since plastic gets brittle as it gets old.

How to Identify and Fix Common printer Problems ?

If the paper does not load, the leading edge of the paper may not be straight or clean and needs to be trimmed. Remove the initial 2 cm (1 in) from the roll and try again. This may be necessary even with a new roll of paper. Ensure the roll ends are tight against the spindle ends.
Open your image in Adobe Acrobat. Select `Print` from the tool bar or by key command. On the print dialogue window do the following: For the Printer, select “HP Designjet T120”.
The default administrator or root password for all HP-provided Build Plans is: ChangeMe123! CAUTION: HP strongly recommends changing this password before deploying to any servers.
The paper might not be engaged with the feed rollers. The paper-width guide is pressed against the paper stack too tightly. The paper tray is not completely inserted into the product. The paper settings in the print driver do not match the paper loaded in the paper tray.
The common reasons for this issue are various, for instance, the paper input tray is overloaded, dust or moisture can affect the paper feed or paper pick rollers, the printer driver is old, etc. Thus, the printer cannot detect the paper that has been inserted into the tray.
You need to ensure your HP printer has enough paper, ink, or toner, and it is not stuck on paper jam. Also, check the status of your printer cartridge and try replacing it with a new one if it is not good enough. In some cases, your HP printer stops printing after you replace its parts.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
Click OK when finished. The new administrator password is effective immediately.. You can turn off protection again by resetting the administrator password to the default password “hpinvent”.
🛑The default username and password for your printer would be blank or admin for both username and password. However, if you still have issues try performing a factory reset on your printer and check if it helps. 1. From the product control panel, press the Setup button.
The paper tray is empty or overloaded. The paper is curled. The print side, or shiny side, of the paper is not loaded in the paper tray face up. For photo paper, always load the rougher side of the paper facing down.
There are numerous possible causes for a printer that`s randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.
