HP LaserJet 4200DTN
I have a network printer supporting 4 end users. The Processing Job hangs intermittently. I have increased memory from 64meg to 128meg and switched driver to PCL 5. The issue is still happening. I am going to change the jet direct 610n to a 620n. I am also going to change the fuser assembly, since I have seen the fuser create this kind of issue on the HP P4015 printers.
Experienced technical support provide their insights in answering this question :
The last thing I would blame is the fuser. The 610N was a problematic card. I usually try the Oven baking on those first. Baking lasts about a year and then you do it again. Never had any problems with the 620N series.
How to Identify and Fix Common printer Problems ?

For a temporary fix, you can try powering the printer off and back on, sometimes that will allow the fuser to reset itself and print the job. If this “Processing Job” error continues or shows up often, it`s time to replace your fuser.
Print jobs get stuck in the queue when a device stops printing in the middle of a job. This can happen for a variety of reasons, from a sudden power outage, low ink, no paper, a paper jam to interference by third-party firewall software.
If print jobs continue to get stuck when printing, reset the printing software system files by removing and reinstalling the print driver. If your printer connects to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the printer. In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
You can do that through the Control Panel or Settings on your PC. Double-click on the printer icon on the taskbar to bring up pending print jobs. Then, go to the Printer tab and click on `Cancel All Documents`.
How to Manually Stop and Start the Print Spooler. Click the Start button and select Run. Type Command (Figure 1 [English only]) and then click OK to display the Command Prompt (Figure 2 [English only]). In the Command Prompt type, net stop spooler, then press Enter to Stop the Print Spooler.
Turn the printer off then back on. If the issue persists, turn the printer off, unplug the power cord and then wait at least three minutes before plugging the power cord back in and turning the printer back on. If the issue persists, ensure the product is running the latest firmware available from HP.com.
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
