If the LabelWriter appears as Unspecified or Unknown in Devices and Printers on Windows, it usually means that the computer has not identified that device as a printer yet. 1. Go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager.
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Locate the Printer troubleshooter, and click on the Run button. Once the wizard completes the process, reconnect the printer and check if the issue is resolved.
Open the start menu and select Control Panel > Administrative Tools > and choose the Services icon. Locate the Print Spooler service and right-click. Then select the option to “Stop” the service.
Usually a quick paper setting adjustment will clear up a ghosting issue right away. Run a cleaning – Most printers have a cleaning function built into the machine. Run this a couple of times to attempt to clear up the printing issue. Inspect the drum – Sometimes excess toner powder can stick to the drum.
Restart the printer and the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions. Restore Wi-Fi setup mode. Most printers with a touchscreen display or menu: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
Check the printer connection status: Make sure the wireless signal is on, and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device. If your printer has a light next to a Wireless icon or button , make sure the light is on. If it is off or blinks the printer is disconnected from the network.
Make sure that both ends of the USB cable are correctly inserted into the computer and the printer. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable at both ends. Disconnect the printer and the computer and reconnect them. Try another USB port if available.
Many printer models won`t print if there`s a loose USB connection or if they`re out of ink or paper. Verify your printer`s ink levels, clean the printhead, fill the paper tray, and avoid using substandard paper.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper

Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.

Press Win + X to open the WinX menu. Click on Device Manager from the context menu. In Device Manager, click on View and select Show hidden devices. Next, expand the Printers section to view your printer.
In Windows, go to Printer Properties > Maintenance > Clean Heads > OK and follow on-screen prompts. On a Mac, check the Applications folder for a Utility application for the printer. To manually clean the printer, remove printheads and use equal parts water and isopropyl alcohol to clean them.
Ghost printers are printers that continue to appear in Windows although they have not been used or installed on your system in a long time, which may have been years.
Select Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change advanced sharing settings. In the Advanced sharing settings dialog box, expand the Private section. Next, under Network discovery, select Turn on network discovery. Under File and printer sharing, select Turn on file and printer sharing.
Simply plug the USB cable from your printer into an available USB port on your PC, and turn the printer on. On the taskbar, select the Search icon, type Printers in the search bar, and then select Printers & scanners from the search results to open the Printers & scanners system setting.
Your printer should have been packaged with a USB cable regardless of whether it is a wireless or wired printer. Plug the cable into your printer and your computer`s USB port. The direct linking should trigger your computer to recognize the printer and start up the software needed to complete the installation.

Some printer models have a cleaning cycle mode.

Look for this option on your control panel or look it up in your manual to run the cleaning function. If the paper drawers are easily removed from the unit, take them out and clean them with a damp cloth to remove any dust or paper lint.

During the printing process, paper, toner and dust particles can accumulate inside the printer. Over time, this buildup can cause print-quality problems such as toner specks or smearing. This printer has a cleaning mode that can correct and prevent these types of problems.
In online printing, page creep refers to the fanning out of pages that can occur when they`re folded and gathered together. As you fold more pages together, the thickness of the paper pushes the inner pages out. The amount of creep depends on the number of pages and the thickness of the paper.
