Clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper size, orientation, and layout settings in your printer software are correct. Make sure your document does not contain blank pages. If your printer software has a Preview option, you can check for blank pages before you print and remove them, if necessary.
A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.
There are numerous possible causes for a printer that`s randomly producing blanks. The most common ones are empty ink cartridges, improper cartridge installation, and congested nozzles. Driver and software issues can sometimes cause this problem as well.
Check if the paper that you`re using matches the paper type in your printer setting. Check if the printer is on a flat and stable surface. Most printer models won`t work if it`s tilted in an angle. Clean the print head in case of clogged nozzles.
Even if your cartridge is full and ready for action, it may have become slightly dislodged and no longer in full electrical contact with the printer. The easiest way to rectify this potential problem is to simply remove and reinstall the cartridges.
If ink is not coming out when you perform printing for the first time, it is possible that ink is not flowing into the printer properly. Make sure each ink tank is filled with ink to its upper limit and perform ink flush. If the problem is not resolved yet, the print head may be damaged.
Stop Printing Only Data

Sometimes you may see your document normally in Print Preview mode, but you get blank printouts or the pages contain data and nothing else. In such cases, you may have enabled the Print only the data from a form option. To uncheck this option, select File > Options > Advanced.

Check the ink levels

Sometimes, the printer may not print black ink because it is low or empty. You can check the ink levels on the printer`s display, or by using the software that came with your printer. If the ink level is low, replace the cartridge or refill it according to the manufacturer`s instructions.

Connect your computer to either an ink jet or laser printer using your printer`s USB cable. Place copy paper into the paper tray on your printer. From your computer, select the “File” option from your tool bar. Select the “Print” option from the drop-down menu.
Ink cartridges can dry out over time. If they are sitting in your machine for an extended period, they will eventually dry up and become unusable. The simplest way to combat this problem is by printing more frequently or running regular cleans and ink tests to ensure the nozzles remain clean.
Check2 Make sure printer is properly connected to computer. When the printer is connected to your computer with a USB cable, check the following: If you are using a relay device such as a USB hub, disconnect it, connect the printer directly to the computer, and retry the printing.
A printer test page is one of the easiest and most effective ways to analyze and calibrate your printer`s performance. Test pages often include text, graphics, and images that, when printed, aim to maintain the health of your printer (and cartridges) while highlighting any issues that your printer may be having.
Printing a test page helps you make sure that you don`t waste ink on your printer`s cleaning function. It also prevents damage from happening to more important papers you may need. When testing a page, print an image that uses a lot of color.
You`ll know fairly quickly if your printhead is causing you problems. If your PC or the LCD screen on your printer is telling you that your ink cartridges are full but no ink is passing through to the paper, then it`s most likely that you are dealing with a clogged printhead.
The sponge end of a blocked printer head can be cleaned with only one liquid other than water. This liquid is isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol isn`t strong enough to melt the sponge but is still strong enough to dissolve the ink inside the blocked printer head.
If you are experiencing a “Low Ink” warning, you will still be able to scan, but not print. If you are getting a “Ink Out” error, you will not be able to use the unit until the ink is replaced. These precautions are in place to prevent damage to the printer from occurring if printing with no ink is attempted.
With the printer powered on, select Setup . Select Device settings . Scroll to the bottom of the menu list and select Reset settings.
Open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool. Make sure that the printer is on, and click Remaining Ink Notification Settings. Select the ink color and click Reset to reset the remaining ink level counter. When you reset the remaining ink level count, you must refill the ink tank to the upper limit line.
Even if your cartridge is full and ready for action, it may have become slightly dislodged and no longer in full electrical contact with the printer. The easiest way to rectify this potential problem is to simply remove and reinstall the cartridges.
Print preview is a feature that displays on the screen what a hard copy would look like when printed. Using print preview, you can find any errors that may exist or fix the layout before printing, which can save ink or toner and paper by not having to print more than once.
Even if your cartridge is full and ready for action, it may have become slightly dislodged and no longer in full electrical contact with the printer. The easiest way to rectify this potential problem is to simply remove and reinstall the cartridges.
If there is plenty of ink and the printer does not print, clean the Print Head then print the nozzle check pattern to ensure ink is ejected properly. If the problem is not resolved after performing Print Head Cleaning twice, carry out the Print Head Deep Cleaning.

Prints blank pages, won't print from computer
ANSWER : Don’t know why you replaced the fuser, but assuming you had print before, then it must have been something you did during the procedure. Only thing I can suggest is to recheck your work. Just because you reinstalled a connector doesn’t mean that it is seated firmly enough to work. Any flat ribbon connectors that you removed and reinstalled, check to see that the contacts are all flat and not peeled back.

Print file sent but no printing occurs
ANSWER : Been working on these since they first were released. Never seen a problem like yours. If it happens again, try doing an engine test, as it bypasses the formatter board. The engine test is located at the right side of the manual tray opening. Look for a hole in the side wall. Stick something like a paper clip into it to actuate the test button. It will then print a lined test page. If it does that, then it points to the formatter board as the cause of your problem.
