Printing photos on laser printers

Yes, absolutely.

In short, yes, laser printers can print on glossy coated paper. As long as the right type of paper is used to allow the toner to fuse with it, great printing results on glossy paper can be achieved with any laser printer.
4×6 prints are approximately 4 inches by 6 inches, or 4″ x 5 ⅞” (10 x 15cm / 101.6 x 152.4 mm). This is a standard photo print size since it mirrors the aspect ratio of the viewfinder of most digital cameras. The common exception is when you take photos with a smartphone which is a different shape to a 4×6 photo.
As a general rule of thumb, 1200×1800 (or 1200×1788) is the minimum resolution that is recommended for 4×6 prints as it will provide 300dpi (dots per inch). A resolution of 1024×768, or photos produced by a 0.8-megapixel camera, will also provide good results.
Make sure the correct printer is selected, then click the Properties button. Make sure the Orientation is set to Portrait, then click Advanced. Here make sure the Paper Size is set to 100x150mm or a 4×6″ option. Click Ok.
*2: BP71 (69 lb (260 g/m2)) paper is especially designed for Brother inkjet machines.

The bottom line for glossy vs matte photos is that glossy is better when you won`t be framing behind glass and when your photos have lots of contrast or vibrant colors. Matte is better for classic black and white photos that need to last and might be displayed in a gallery.

Load up to 20 sheets of Photo or Photo L paper in the photo paper tray (photo bypass tray) with the printing surface face down.

cannot print
ANSWER : Epson printers don’t like to sit unused. The printheads will clog with dried ink. Your only hope is to use a Printhead cleaning kit. The Printer’s built in cleaner uses wet ink to flush dried up ink. Yeah, that works real good. Here’s a good source for the kit. http://www.printheadcleaningkit.com/kits.html
