How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Your blue came out purple because of the divide between RGB and CMYK color gamuts. In simplest terms, the colors available in the RGB color gamut (what you can see on your screen) are much greater than the colors available in the CMYK gamut (what can be printed).
Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. The ink cartridges may be old or low on ink, and you may need to replace them. Your printed colors can never exactly match your on-screen colors.
Purple is a mixture of blue and magenta, so that means the yellow is either empty or clogged. Verify that there is ink in the yellow cartridge, then print a nozzle check. If the yellow prints, then try printing something else with brown to see if the image itself is messed up.
Prints that appear more green are commonly caused by an absence of magenta ink/toner being put to paper by your printer. In addition to your prints looking “greener” you may also notice yellow and blue areas appear almost neon due to the the magenta not being able to give them more realistic tones.
In a CMYK color space (also known as process color, or four color, and used in color printing), hex #A020F0 is made of 33% cyan, 87% magenta, 0% yellow and 6% black. Purple has a hue angle of 276.9 degrees, a saturation of 87.4% and a lightness of 53.3%.
After all, colors will pop more against a rich black than they will against gray. When you order full color print, we recommend using 80% cyan, 80% magenta, 80% yellow, and 95% black to ensure that your black appears as dark and rich as possible.
Your computer monitor uses the RGB model to create colors on the screen, whereas the printer uses the CMYK model to put the colors on paper. Thus, printers cannot replicate all the colors that a monitor does. Also, it is quite challenging to convert on-screen colors to CMYK and replicate them for printing.
Color printing uses yellow, magenta, and cyan inks to produce various colors by subtractive mixing to give red, blue, and green. (Each color ink should be thought of as transmitting two of the additive primaries, which is the same as absorbing one of the additive primaries.)
CMYK Purples

A 3:2 magenta to cyan ratio is an excellent place to start (79-100-0-0).

Assuming you aren`t out of any ink, the reason your teal prints as blue on an Epson F570 or Epson F170 sublimation printer is likely because you are using the wrong print profile.
A lack of magenta ink or toner applied to the paper by your printer is frequently the source of prints that look more blue or green.
CMYK is the most commonly used offset and digital color printing process. This is referred to as a 4 color printing process, and it can produce over 16,000 different color combinations. Due to lighting on computer screens, the RGB model used on them doesn`t convert well onto printed material.
Unlike RGB color, which is used in screens and digital display technology, CMYK color was created for printed materials. Where RGB color has three channels for red, green, and blue, CMYK color has four channels for cyan, magenta, yellow, and key (black).
Your printer may be printing pink as the other ink cartridges have run out. Common printer-to-page technology processes colour in four parts; cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK), or toner. The ink cartridges in your inkjet or colour laser printer are split up into four colours.
Purple light moves from the center to the outer edges: The printer is in Auto Wireless Connect (AWC) mode and is waiting to connect to your computer or mobile device.

The biggest difference between the RGB and CMYK color mixing modes are what designs they`re used for. RGB color mixing is the primary color mode for digital designs (like web, TV or phone files) while the CMYK mode is used for printed designs (like T-shirts, flyers or business cards).

My 2550n Color LaserJet does not want to print in color
ANSWER : That model had issues with the carousel solenoid sticking. That might explain why it works after you let it sit for 10 minutes. The solenoid gets hotter with use which causes the deteriorated foam on it to become sticky and hold down the release plate instead of letting it go. This allows the carousel to spin when it is supposed to stop for each color. The solenoid is located on the right side of the printer. If you open the lid, it is just behind the opening at the top right. You need to remove the top of the printer and scrape off the goo on top of the solenoid body. I put a piece of thin sticky backed felt to replace it. Other people use electrical tape.
