How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Most of the issues with non printing jobs and „Offline” messages are from driver settings. First check to see if there is no job in the print queue (delete any job if exist). Check the port to be on TCP/IP and not WSD. MS convert the port to WSD.
Laser Phaser Printers

They generate static electricity which draws toner onto the page, creating highly detailed text and images. Every single pixel gets the same amount of light, providing a crisp finish.

The reset is initiated by power on after being unplugged. Did you happen to replace it when it was turned off but still plugged in? If so, shut down, unplug, wait a few minutes and plug it in and turn it on.
You may see a “printer offline” error if your computer can`t communicate with your printer. This can be caused by loose cable connections or an outdated printer driver or operating system.
It may happen due to a faulty cable or a loose connection. Outdated Drivers: Another common reason for Xerox printers showing offline is outdated drivers. The drivers are software programs that connect your printer to your computer, and when they become outdated, they can cause issues with the printer`s connectivity.
Printer status spooling essentially means another document is printing, and yours is waiting for its place in the queue. The reason for this is that printers don`t have anywhere near as much memory as computers, and need an intermediary program to conduct and wave the print jobs to home plate.
Printer-Spooler is a well-known problem of process synchronization problem. Process Synchronization is one of the most essential features of the operating system. It is the task of coordinating the execution of processes in a way that no two processes can have access to the same shared data and resources.
Select Start , then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners . Scroll down to Related Settings and select Print server properties. Select the Drivers tab, and see if your printer is listed. If it is, you`re all set.
NOTE: The default user ID is “admin” (case sensitive). The default passcode is “1111”. Contact your System Administrator if there is a problem with the password, or the password has been lost or forgotten. If the password cannot be recovered, contact Support to place a service call.
Select the Start icon on the bottom left of your screen, select Control Panel, and then select Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question and select See what`s printing. From the window that opens, select Printer from the menu bar at the top. Select Use Printer Online from the drop-down menu.
Open the Windows Control Panel and navigate to Hardware and Sound | Devices and Printers. This screen will show you all of the printers that are installed. Right-click on the printer that is experiencing problems, and then select the Troubleshoot command from the shortcut menu.
The print spooler service implements the print client and print server roles, by enabling each participating system to act as a print client, administrative client, or print server for the Print Services system.
Run Services: Press Windows key + R then type services. msc and press Enter. Locate Print Spooler Service, right-click on it, then choose Restart. Check if the process has fixed the print spooler problem and if the printer now functions normally.
Type in “services. msc” and hit Enter to open the Services window. Scroll down until you see the Print Spooler service, then right-click on it and choose “Properties” from the context menu. Make sure that the Startup type is set to “Disabled.” Click the “Stop” button to enable the service if it`s currently running.
The Spooler is a special process that manages access to printers by multiple users. For most users, the function of the Spooler is transparent. They generate a job for a printer and go to the printer to pick up the output. The Spooler permits users to continue working without waiting for a print job to finish printing.
A fuser unit is a pair of heated rollers within the printer that fuses the toner onto the paper being printed on. Toner particles are pulled to the paper to create the desired text and images as the paper passes the imaging drum.
Fuser Units

The coating wears off and causes the toner to not fuse properly. There are replacement rollers and sleeves on the market that you can replace and turn a non-functional fuser into a good working one. Rebuilding fuser assemblies is not a new thing.

Select Start > Settings . Go to Devices > Printers & scanners > select a printer > Manage. Then select Set as default. If you don`t see the Set as default option, the Let Windows manage my default printer option may be selected.
This fault indicates that the fuser is in an overheat condition and the fault needs to be reset by the technician. Contact Support for additional assistance.
A software reset clears the temporary files from the System and the Network Controller. A power off and on sequence shuts down the printer and clears any data in the Volatile Memory.
Essentially, it is the code that tells the printer what to do and how to do it. Printer manufacturers roll out firmware updates from time to time to keep their printers functioning correctly and efficiently. These updates can fix bugs, strengthen security, and add new features.
Same as any software, you need to update printer firmware sometimes to improve your printer functionality. Usually, such updates are performed automatically. They may contain some bug fixes, which makes your device work better, safer, and more efficiently.
In the Devices and Printers window click on Add a printer. Choose “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings”, then click Next. Select Create a new port and choose Standard TCP/IP Port, then click Next. Under Hostname or IP address: Type in the IP address of the printer you intend to connect to.
