Laser printers require heat to operate, so they need time to “warm up” before printing the first document.
It takes at least 20 to 30 seconds of warm-up time for laser printers to initialize under a conventional fuser. Laser printers require that much time to heat up the fuser assembly. Once the required temperature is reached, only then can toner particles properly fuse to paper fibers.
Laser printers should always be allowed to warm up to room temperature before they`re switched on. If the office keeps a lower heat setting at night than during work hours, give the equipment time to feel the heat before it`s time to get to work.

The answer has to do with how printers operate. Slow warming printers are typically the result of the fuser taking its time to heat to manufacturers temperature requirements.

With cheap DPSS lasers the warm-up is required to allow the diode and crystals to reach a stable operating temperature. As the laser warms up, the power will fluctuate and the laser will often mode-hop until this stable temperature is reached. Most manufacturers specify a warm-up time of 5-15 minutes.
Lasers usually heat things up. They are good at doing this because of how tightly packed the energy in a laser beam is. To put it in perspective, the average person probably puts out about 250 Watts while running.
The fuser unit is a heated roller that melts the toner particles onto the page as it passes through.
Laser printers use toner which will not dry out the same way an ink cartridge does. Unlike ink, which is liquid-based, toner is a dry powder composed of plastic components so it will not dry out. You can leave a toner cartridge in your printer for weeks untouched and it should still print.
Heat can cause moisture in paper or the surrounding air to evaporate, lowering the moisture content. It can also affect the viscosity of the ink. Ink viscosity increases at lower temperatures, which can restrict ink flow and print density.

If your printer is positioned far away from the network device, it may print more slowly. Especially wireless printing or if connected to an old fashioned `hub`. Speed things up by moving your printer closer to the router/switch/etc., or plug it directly into your primary switching.

The power going into heat would then be 800 W – 463 W = 337 W. Operating for an hour, the laser printer would give off 337 x 3.4 = 1,146 BTUs.
If you`re printing too hot (with any filament, not just PLA) you`re going to see stringing and blobs/oozing because the material is getting runny and exiting the nozzle in an uncontrolled manner. Because it`s uncontrolled, you will also likely see artifacts showing up in your prints.
Without some form of external wavelength stabilization, the higher the laser`s temperature becomes, the longer the wavelength becomes. For DFB lasers, for example, this is typically around 0.1nm/°C. Higher temperatures also reduce the laser`s output power.
Because some patients may experience some slight sensitivity in the laser-treated area, the cooler temperatures of the winter months can provide a comfortable environment for healing. In contrast, the warmth of the summer months can amplify that irritation with sweat.
Most industrial CO2 lasers can be safely and efficiently operated within the temperature range of 59 °F to 77 °F.
A cold laser is one that operates at the same level of precision but in a non-burning fashion – hence the name of “Cold Laser.” This simply means that this category of laser does not generate heat. What it does generate is a proven and effective method for increased healing in the body.
Diode lasers are especially suitable for hardening the surface of steelwork components. The laser beam heats up areas close to the surface of a workpiece to between 900°C and 1500°C, causing the heat-induced austenitization of the originally ferritic-perlitic steel structure.

Canon BJC-70 error message F 12
ANSWER : I am having the same problem, not only with my BJC-70, but also the equivalent problem with my BJC-80. Typically I am working at my computer, and the printer is powered up, but idle. All of a sudden for no apparent reason, it emits a series of beeps and returns the print head to the central position. The BJC-70 display Error F12. With the BJC80 you have to count the beeps. The problem seems to be caused by some sort of premature failure of the print head, due to an electronic fault. Sometimes, if the printer is powered down for a few minutes or longer, it will work normally for a short time after power is re-applied, but typically the problem recurs within 30 minutes, and this period of trouble free operation gradually reduces, until the print head will not work at all. The only solution is to replace the offending print head. You should, however, retain the failed head, in order to salvage any un-used ink remaining in the tanks. The new print head comes with full ink tanks. As soon as one of these fails, I replace it with an ink tank retrieved from the failed head. I don’t discard the failed head until both ink tanks have been retrieved.

Canon MP530 won't print black
ANSWER : I have the same problem with my canon MG6120, no PGBK. all other colors print beautifully. I am guessing the purge unit needs attention. I have cleaned the print head several times. Your advice would be appreciated.
