I have a customer that is getting a paper jam error message when printing from bottom, extra 500 sheet tray. It happens in multiple page jobs and when it stops there is a page just starting to leave the exit rollers and another page with leading edge under the toner. I installed new roller kit on all trays but same results. There doesn’t seem to be an actual paper jam. Is it a timing issue causes paper jam error message?

How to Identify and Fix Common printer Problems ?

Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). Reset the printer, which might clear a false paper jam error, and then try to print again. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer. Unplug the power cord from the power source.
The jam message may vary depending on the location of the page or pages that may be jammed. At times, a related message such as a “13.01 Paper Jammed in Tray 2” which indicates that the paper did not arrive at the pre-feed sensor (PS102) in the amount of time allotted by the DC Controller.
If the paper is even slightly askew, the rollers will pick it up a little crooked, and — guess what — the crooked sheet will immediately get jammed. So even though there`s no paper stuck when you start printing, the loose paper guides are ensuring that a sheet gets jammed whenever the printer starts doing its thing.
Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn`t work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.
The following are the top reasons why paper jams occur:

unsupported paper/media is used. incorrect paper settings in the tray and/or the print driver. paper loaded incorrectly and/or paper edge guides not adjusted properly in the tray. humidity and/or paper condition and storage.

During a print job, the printer stops feeding pages, and a Paper Jam error message displays on the printer control panel. This indicates that paper might be jammed inside the printer. note: Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper.
Step one: Perform a power reset

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait at least 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

A piece of paper stuck in the paper tray or inside the printer can create a paper jam. Paper jams can occur for a variety of reasons, such as overloading the paper tray, loading different thicknesses of paper in the tray, or using paper that isn`t appropriate for your particular printer.
just GOTO settings > printer properties of your printer > preferences>paper quality >change the paper to A4 size . and restart the printer.
When reloading the paper, make sure you are using suitable paper and loading it correctly. If a paper jam message appears on your computer screen when you resume printing after removing all the jammed paper, there may be some paper still inside the printer. Check the printer again for any remaining bits of paper.

Paper Jam error but no paper jam
ANSWER : Obviously you didn’t get all the paper cleared out. There is a small scrap in the paper path causing the jam when the paper hits it. You can try clearing it out by inserting something stiff like a piece of file folder from the back of the printer into the paper path and pushing the offending piece out that way.
