Epson WorkForce WF-7510
I was getting ink marks on upper right corner of paper so I tried to wipe the excess ink off of inside of printer. This is a refurbished unit just sent to me by Epson after my 2 month old one had other problems. I must have loosened a little white plastic tab on the left side of the carriage (?) and I am not sure where it belongs or how to secure it. I have a picture of it but I am not sure if I can upload it here. I am so frustrated with this printer – it has been one problem after another and I have a project overdue and really don’t want to send it back again. Any ideas you have will be appreciated!

If paper dust builds up on the rollers, they may lose traction and become unable to feed paper properly. Clean the paper guide. If roll paper does not feed, cut the end straight across and uncurl it by rolling it backward, if necessary. Then reload the paper.
Press the home button, press the down arrow to select Setup and press the OK button. Press the down arrow to select Paper Setup, press the OK button. Press the right arrow to select Paper Size, and do one of the following: If you`re copying letter size paper select Letter, and press the OK button.
When vertical banding appears or the paper is smeared, clean the paper path. You may need to replace the ink cartridges.
If you have problems feeding paper, try these solutions: If paper does not feed for printing, remove it from the rear feed slot or cassette. Reload it, then adjust the edge guides. Make sure the paper stack is not above the tab on the edge guides inside the cassette or rear feed slot.
Paper curl is caused by an excess amount of moisture in the paper. The first step to ensure less paper curl is to store your paper in a cool, dry area. By doing so, you will reduce the amount of moisture and humidity the paper is exposed to. The next step is to always fan the paper before placing in the machine.
Paper curl is caused by excess humidity in the paper. When paper passes through the fuser, the combination of heat and pressure required to bond toner to the paper also causes curling because of excess moisture in the paper. All laser printer are susceptible to this.
The printer automatically adjusts itself for the type of paper you select in your print settings. That is why the paper type setting is so important. It tells your printer what kind of paper you are using and adjusts the ink coverage accordingly.
If your printouts are slanted, try these solutions: Slide the edge guides against the edges of the paper. Select a higher print quality setting in your printer software. Align the print head.
If you notice white or dark lines in your prints (also called banding), try these solutions before you reprint: Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper type setting matches the type of paper you loaded.
Cut the paper to the size that is needed. Lightly mist the paper with clean water using a spray bottle (do not soak the paper – only a light mist is needed) Place the misted paper between 2 sheets of parchment or tissue paper. Carefully place a board or heavy book over the paper and let sit for 24 hours.
Paper curl occurs, depending on heating conditions at the time or the environment, and where the paper was kept before use. Because paper curl deteriorates printing quality or causes paper jams, defining the curling originating mechanism and creating countermeasures against it have been desired.
This is the most common cause for this issue. Check the paper pick rollers for each tray. Clean off the rollers with a dry cloth and try printing again. If cleaning the feed rollers does not correct the issue, see if the feed rollers are worn or dirty.
As you scrunch up a sheet of paper, it creates stresses in the sheet. To relieve that stress, the paper breaks up into a series of flat facets, each separated by raised ridges. When you open the sheet of paper back up, the landscape of geometric creases appears disordered at first glance.
Printer rollers are the small circular rubber pieces that help feed printer paper through your printer. Over time, they can accumulate dust from the paper and ink residue from printing double-sided pages. To clean your printer rollers, you`ll need to first locate them in your printer.
A cleaning sheet will help remove dust from the rollers, which can cause a loss of traction and prevent paper from feeding properly. Caution: Remove the instruction sheet attached to the Epson Ink Jet Printer Cleaning Sheets and do not follow the steps on it; they are not correct for your printer.
Click Start, point to Settings, and the click Printers. Right-click the appropriate printer, and then click Properties. Click the Paper tab, and then click the paper size you want to use in the Paper Size box.
If you get this error on the printer display, it means you are trying to print something that is formatted to a size other than standard letter paper (8 ½ x 11”).
Paper is housed in the printer`s paper tray, and most trays can be found along the bottom of the printer. There is usually a small notch on the face of the tray that pulls out so you can insert the paper. Within the paper tray, you will notice a guide that can be adjusted to fit your preferred paper length.
Solution. Skew. Print media is not loaded correctly, or trays are not adjusted properly. 1. Make sure paper is loaded straight/neatly/correctly.
What Is Banding? Banding is a defect in inkjet printing that will appear as horizontal or vertical lines, streaks or bands in the printed output. Everyone will eventually experience some type of banding with their inkjet printer.
A printer printing lines on the page are normally caused by a blocked, dirty, or damaged print head. Blocked ink cartridge nozzles, or not removing protective seals correctly when you installed a new ink cartridge can also cause missing lines of print.
There are four primary causes for horizontal banding on prints from inkjet printers, (1) nozzle clogs, (2) mis-aligned print heads, (3) low quality print settings (4) incorrect paper thickness settings.
Faint, streaky or spotty prints are all common signs of a clog but a simple cleaning can usually get your HP ink cartridges working again. Printheads clog due to infrequent cartridge use. If you regularly go a few weeks without printing, your cartridges will eventually dry out and need to be replaced.
Material stringing, missing layers, clicking sounds in your extruder gears, and inconsistent extrusion patterns—specifically thin layers—are all symptoms of a partially clogged nozzle. And if no filament is coming through your extruder onto the build platform, you could be dealing with a fully clogged nozzle.
