How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

1 Press and release the SEL key to take the printer off-line. The SEL light will be out. 2 Then, press and hold the SHIFT key and press the RESET (CHARACTER PITCH) key. 3 The printer is reset.
Check that the same IP address is set for the machine and the machine`s port setting on the computer. Check that the IP address is not duplicated by another device. To enter the [Admin Setup] menu, the administrator password is required. The factory default password is “999999”. To change settings of the machine on the Web page, you must log in as the administrator of the machine.
1: Check Printer Power, Cables, and Paper
Check that the correct paper is properly loaded into the printer and is not jammed. Replacing damaged cables, plugging in loose or disconnected cables, and fixing paper jams as necessary may resolve the issue.
Turn the printer on while holding down the FORM FEED button. This test prints the character set in a rolling pattern using the default type style. Press the SELECT button or turn off the printer to stop the test. Oki Data has taken care to insure that the information is complete, accurate and up-to-date.
Default passwords are intended to be placeholders and used only for the initial setup of hardware or after a factory reset. The user enters the password and is usually prompted to change it as part of the process, but not always. Examples of default passwords include admin, password and guest.
Select the Start button, then select Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Under Add printers & scanners, select Add a printer or scanner. Choose the printer you want, and then select Add Device. If you don`t see the printer you want, select The printer that I want isn`t listed.
Place the printer near the network router. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer. From the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings. Get the network name and password.
Press the scroll button ▼ on the operator panel several times to select [Admin Setup], and press «OK». Input the factory default admin password. Press the scroll button ▲ or ▼ on the operator panel several times to select [Change Password], and press «OK». Enter a new password and press «OK».

ANSWER : HI there, oki image drums contain a fuse. You can reset them if they are working/printing ok by replacing the fuse. Hope this helps. The fuse is located inside the unit so is a bit fiddly.

ANSWER : hen I try to print a document manually I place required document on printer under the cover and press start B and w button the printer appears to go through the procedure by the nice it makes but does not print .Also when trying to print document on computer screen the same occurs . My pictures print almost all red
ANSWER : At first, try printing the internal demo page of the printer. You will find this under the “Information” Menu. If this page prints ok, the problem is on your computer. Maybe the driver or some application settings. Almost impossible to diagnose from far. Look for a “Reset to Default”-Setting in your driver. You may delete the printer and re-install it with the most up-to-date Driver from OKI. Since the printer is an old one, you may have to look for a “Vista-Driver”, when you’re running Windows 7/8. OKI does not not supply any drivers beyond Vista. I could not find anything about mac drivers …
