Check that the same IP address is set for the machine and the machine`s port setting on the computer. Check that the IP address is not duplicated by another device. Check that the correct IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address are set. If using OKI LPR Utility, check the IP address setting with OKI LPR Utility.
This error indicates that a sensor error has occurred in the image drum. If the error is not resolved after the toner cartridge and the image drum are reset according to the guidance on the device`s Operator panel, this may be because the belt unit is not properly installed so that the image drum moves upward.
Fatal Error

The yellow tape seal has not been removed from the ink cartridge. Turn off the printer, then turn it on again. The ink out lights come on and the print head moves left. Replace the ink cartridge with a new one.

Open the printer`s web page and Sign in as Administrator. On the General tab select Reset Factory Settings in the menu.

Reinstall the printer driver. The machine is offline. Right-click the printer icon to open “Printer folder”, and then select [See print jobs]. In the dialog, select the [Printer] menu and then clear the check of [Use Printer Offline].
ANSWER. This error is displayed when a timeout occurs while the device is receiving the print data over the network. There is a menu called [Timeout Injob] on the device. This menu sets the waiting time (sec) of the device, from when the received data process is stopped until the page is output.
Improper Lock Lever Position. Error: 544, 545, 546, 547. A color toner cartridge indicated on the screen is not installed. Make sure that the lever on the toner cartridge is fully turned and the protective tape is removed.
A fatal error occurs typically in any of the following cases: An illegal instruction has been attempted. Invalid data or code has been accessed. An operation is not allowed in the current ring or CPU mode.
Reset. Resetting the printer stops printing and clears the current print job received from the active interface. You may want to reset the printer when there is a problem with the print job itself and the printer cannot print successfully.
The default password is “0000”.
Enter the administrator name and password and press [OK].

The factory default administrator name and password are “admin” and “aaaaaa” respectively.

The only permanent solution to the 0x0000011B error is to install the latest Windows Update which fixes the issue. For now, you can try uninstalling the update or disabling the problematic security feature from the Registry. Other workarounds include installing the printer manually.

ANSWER : Judging by this prior post on the forum http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/77131 I would tell you to spare yourself some grief and expense and buy a new printer. Epson only sells parts to authorized service centers and by the time you get done dealing with one of them, you could have bought a newer model.

Density Shutter Error
ANSWER : I’ve never worked on one of those printers, but I have never, ever seen 1 valid solution for printer repair on fixya.com I read the replies there when I need a good laugh. Makes me wonder what the “techs” on that forum actually do for a living. It certainly couldn’t be printer repair.

Error Code 51.1 says Printer Error No Kidding.lol
ANSWER : Sometimes turning off and on will allow you to print a few pages. The error is a beam detect error. The only real fix is to replace the laser scanner unit. Could be a loose connector on the scanner or DC controller from the scanner. That’s unlikely. You could try the only other free fix which is to open the scanner assy. and clean all the mirrors inside. The dust could obstruct the laser beam enough to cause the detect error.

Error code 79 on Oki Page 12i/n
ANSWER : Open the lid of the printer and check the two cables on the right side (on the inside of the lid). Make sure both cables are introduced correctly in the plugs. This should resolve the problem. Good luck, Mark

Canon Pixma MX870, Error 6000 and Service Manual
ANSWER : Brand new MX922. Printed a couple of pics and now the 6000 error. Can’t see any obstruction. Could you provide the manual for dismantling the unit further? Or pointers for getting further into the box than just looking through the little folding inkwell door?
