Clean the Cartridge Contacts: one of the most common reasons you might get a cartridge problem error when your cartridges are new and full is the contacts on the cartridge might be dirty or otherwise obscured from making good contact with the electronics in the printer head carriage.
Solution one: Remove the ink cartridges and the printhead, restart the printer, and then reinstall the printhead and the ink cartridges. Removing and reinstalling the ink cartridges and the printhead can clear the error displayed on the front panel.
How to Bypass Depleted Ink Cartridge on HP Printer 9010. In case of such an error, select Hide and tap the top black bar on the printer`s display. Then, select Ink Drop and examine each of the four ink cartridges to check if you have an empty or low ink cartridge on hand.
Verify the ink cartridge(s) is inserted properly. Some cartridges snap in place, and if they are not inserted fully, the printer won`t print anything. If a lever is moved from its original position to allow for installation of ink cartridges, ensure it is returned to its original position.
This is typically caused by an incorrect selection made during the LCD prompting after a cartridge is replaced or the lock release lever did not snap securely over the ink cartridge when installing. Do the following to clear the message: If the LCD displays “No Cartridge”, click here to check how to clear the message.
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
You can continue to print with one or more empty cartridges, but HP recommends replacing them as soon as possible to avoid printhead damage.
Remove the new cartridges and turn off the printer. After letting the printer sit for several minutes, turn the printer back on. Turn off the printer, let it sit, and turn it back on at least four times. This should replace the stored memory on the printer`s chip with blank logs.
