Connect your product to your Mac using an Ethernet cable and make sure the product is turned on. Go to the menu on your Mac, then select System Preferences. Select Printers and Scanners, Print & Scan, or Print & Fax.
The interface cable may not be plugged in securely. Check both ends of the interface cable between the printer and the computer. You may not be using the correct interface cable. If you are using the USB interface, use a Revision 1.1 or 2.0 cable.

If your printer and router both support WPS push-to-connect, simply push the WPS button on your printer, then press the WPS button on your router within two minutes. The connection will be made automatically. Some older wireless printers may require you to connect to a computer first to set up the wireless connection.
A connection to the printer could not be made. The printer may be offline, malfunctioning, or busy. Verify the following items, and then resubmit your print job: Confirm that the printer is powered on and displays Ready.
Start by checking your hardware
If you`re using a wired printer, make sure that the printer cable is properly connected from the printer to your PC. For wireless printers, check the wireless connection. Make sure the printer`s wireless option is turned on and available.
Power down the printer and disconnect if it`s connected to your Mac via a cable. To re-add the printer, power it back up. The printer may appear in “System Preferences -> Printers & Scanners” automatically. If not, click the “+” button and follow the instructions to re-add it.
