Check the printer connection status: Make sure the wireless signal is on, and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device. If your printer has a light next to a Wireless icon or button , make sure the light is on. If it is off or blinks the printer is disconnected from the network.
Open Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer and select Properties. Look in the Web Services tab for your IP address if only three tabs appear. Alternatively, look in the Ports tab for your IP address if five tabs appear.
The correct answer is Switch.
Laser Printers

The laser printer was developed by Xerox in the 1960s when the idea of using a laser to draw images onto a copier drum was first considered. Laser printers are still widely used in large offices as they are traditionally more efficient than inkjet printers.

What is a printer`s IP address? Your printer`s IP address is the 12-digit ID number and is used to connect the printer to the internet or to another device. If your printer has a problem, knowing your printer`s IP address can help you fix it faster.
For Windows:

Right-click on the printer icon and select `properties` from the menu. Find the `general` tab within the properties menu and then look for the `location` field. The numbers that appear to the right of this field make up your printer`s IP address.

The three most established types of 3D printers for plastics parts are stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS), and fused deposition modeling (FDM).
From compact and simple to complex and sophisticated, there are many types of printers on the market. However, there are six types of printers that are tried and tested: inkjet printers, laser printers, solid ink printers, continuous ink printers, LED printers, dot matrix printers and A3 printers.
Printers are one of the common computer peripheral devices that can be classified into two categories that are 2D and 3D printers. The 2D printers are used to print text and graphics on a paper, and 3D printers are used to create three dimensional physical objects.
Make sure the mobile device`s Bluetooth is turned on. Check to see if the printer`s Bluetooth light is pulsing. If not, enable Bluetooth on the printer and try pairing with the printer again. Check if the printer is communicating with another mobile device.
Check your device if Airplane mode is on and put it off. Then, do the connection with the printer again. Your smartphone`s Android version isn`t supported. Canon printers may not support Wi-Fi connections with phones running an Android OS version below 4.1.
Add a printer using Wi-Fi Direct: On your printer, make sure Wi-Fi Direct is turned on. On your mobile device, tap All printers > Add printer, and then tap HP Print Service or HP Inc. Tap Directly to the Printer, select the name of your printer with DIRECT in the name, and then tap OK.

ANSWER : After Windows 98, Canon stopped supporting the BJC 70/80/85 series. Drivers were available for W98 and earlier, but now these are no longer carried on the Canon website. I now have my BJC 70 & 80 working, not only on a virtual machine running WinXP but also on the host which runs W8.1.In the case of Win XP it seems that a 3rd party driver was used, but I am mystified as to how it got onto the W8.1 machine, because I have a vivid recollection that the BJC managed to auto-install itself as soon as it was plugged into the USB port without any action by myself. I never expected it to work with Win8.1. I was resigned to using it only with the Virtual copy of WinXP, which meant that the printer needed to be connected only AFTER the virtual machine was booted. Now my little Bubble-Jets are accessible both from both the virtual client and the host. The most likely explanation is that I did actually find and download a 3rd party driver for Win8.1 and that I have had amnesia.
