The yield of a typical toner cartridge in a laser printer is between 2,500 and 3,000 pages. Some larger laser printers can even have toners that will yield up to 30,000 pages!
Color laser printers use four separate cartridges, sold in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Each color can be replaced as needed, so if it`s just your cyan cartridge that`s running low, that`s the only color you have to replace!
Here`s a quick calculation you can do to get a rough idea of how many pages your cartridge will print. The manufacturer`s capacity is based on 5% of the page being covered in ink or toner, but if you are printing large shaded areas or more than 4 paragraphs of text, we generally print at more like 10 – 15% coverage.

Get up to 5,000 pages or up to 2 years of pre-filled toner and save with the HP Toner Reload Kit.
Regular toner cartridges can print anywhere from 2,500 to 4,000 pages, while a high-yield cartridge can print 10,000-12,000 pages before needing to be replaced. These high-capacity cartridges will have a higher initial cost, but you will end up saving money on toner in the long run.
A typical toner cartridge will produce anywhere between 2,500 and 4,000 pages, based on a coverage of 5% (roughly third of a page of double-spaced text). Dense pages filled with small font text or graphics will dramatically reduce this output and you may only get up to 1,000 pages per cartridge.
Cartridges are supposed to be able to be refilled at least twice before replacement.

(S*P*A*N*K*S) / 353 = Ink required in Kg for a specific job. This is rough calculation to find the consumption for cost and estimation purpose.
The average ink cartridge will hold 0.7 to 1.2ml of ink, with short cartridges of 0.7ml being the most common. The average converter will hold between 0.6ml and 1ml of ink, with 0.8ml being the most common. The average piston filler fountain pen holds 1.2 to 2.5ml of ink.
Laser printers have a print speed upwards of 25 to 50 pages per minute, going up to even 100 pages per minute for higher-end models. Print speed helps ensure projects can get completed efficiently, keeping your work environment productive. Toner cartridges for laser printers are long-lasting and easy to maintain.
Although laser printer cartridges are more expensive, laser printers have a significantly lower cost per page than inkjet printers, particularly if you`re looking to print a lot in black and white.
5% coverage means that after A4 paper is printed, the area of the paper covered by toner or ink is 5% (black), 15% coverage (color, that is, red, yellow) , blue these three colors, each color reaches 5% coverage). So, 5% coverage means that after printing, the area of the entire paper covered by toner is 5%.
` It means the amount of an A4 piece of paper that would be completely covered in ink if what you were printing was compacted into a block. As you might expect, a print out with 5% page coverage will probably have a lot less colours, or shaded areas.
As explained, laser toner cartridges deliver significantly higher page yields than ink cartridges and last much longer. Where most ink cartridges will print between 135 – 1000 pages, laser toners can print anywhere up to 10,000 pages each refill or replacement.

I replaced the black toner cartridge and now the printer shakes though it is fine when I set it for grayscale only prints
ANSWER : You need to unlock the carousel. Once you unlock it and remove the toners, ignore all the rest of the crap. Pick any color and align the cartridge slot on the left side like you would have it to remove the cartridge. Then pull out on the gear towards you on the right and drop it so the right slot is lined up as well. You can get it aligned pretty close by just eyeballing it visually. I’ve never seen the left side go out of alignment, just the right, so this method has worked for me everytime.
