The HP Color LaserJet 5550 was released in 2007, but it is far from dated. Its maximum monthly duty cycle of 120,000 pages allows it to withstand almost constant abuse from a single user or an entire office network.

If you look at the back door cover of the printer there is a label that has your model number serial number and also includes the date of manufactuer. Hope this helps.

Press your printer`s Setup button. Go to System Setup. Choose Print Quality and then Calibrate Color. Choose Calibrate Now and press OK.
Windows 10: Right-click and select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers. Right-click your product name and select Printer properties.
Press and hold the GO button. All lights turn off. During the next three seconds, the GO, Ready and Attention lights turn on in that order, one per second. Release the GO button to perform the initialization.

ANSWER : I have just experienced a similar problem after cleaning out the ink build up without removing the outer case. The two lights are flashing and the ink cartridges end up on the far left after jumping back and fore a few times.

ANSWER : hi everyone. i have an hp ink advantage 5525 all-in-one. changed all cartridges as they were empty and when i tried to print i got blank pages. i gave a print order a couple times to find out what was going on and found out that yellow and magenta inks worked but not cyan and black. removed cartridges, clean and all many times and nothing happened. then i tried this youtu.be/f57jOGj-G5s and the print quality of magenta and yellow improved significantly but still no black or cyan at all. i can’t do the running water thing because the print head is not detachable. any suggestions?
