My encolder has come off and i Cant get the screws to come out to open up

ANSWER : Usually, it’s a scrap of paper stuck where the paper comes up out of the tray and takes the bend up into the printer. With the trays out, tilt the printer backwards and look up into the slot. You can usually see the paper stuck in the slot. If not, then take the cartridge out and lift up the flap at the front and look down there.

ANSWER : Try reinstalling it first from the CD and if that fails again, try downloading the software package from the official HP site and attempting an install that way. Apple makes it a pain to uninstall programs but doing an install on top of the existing one without first uninstalling could repair the issue. If you must uninstall the software there are programs that help uninstall programs from Mac systems.

ANSWER : Look for a protruding plastic on the top that goes into an indentation. Mine was in the front left side. Put a piece of cardboard into the indentation.and close the door. The top plastic piece is not pushing the door close sensor down and because its too short and the cardboard allows the sensor to be reached and pushed.

ANSWER : You can quit wondering. Parts are unavailable. I’ve seen posts where people have 3D printed the parts or machined them out of metal.

ANSWER : How do you expect Epson to make any money if you’re only going to print in black? Why would they let you do that?

ANSWER : Use adhesive tape or hi-temp hot melt glue to stick it back. I’m not an expert, only an essay writers team lead who has been printing lots of papers, but this worked for me.
