Check the nozzle check pattern you printed. (1) If lines of this pattern are missing, the print head nozzles need cleaning. (2) If these patterns have white streaks, the print head nozzles need cleaning.
Ink absorber absorbs the ink used when Cleaning is executed. In order to maintain the best printing, the ink used when Cleaning is absorbed into the ink absorber inside the printer. The ink absorber requires the replacement when it is full. However, it cannot be replaced by yourself.
The Best Way to Clean a Sponge

You need to clean them weekly, and toss shabby ones every two to three weeks, depending on use. Mix 3/4 cup of bleach in one gallon of water. Soak the sponge in the mixture for five minutes, then rinse – and that`s it!

Sponges can be washed in cold water, using a little soap, but must be thoroughly air-dried before reusing.
You can clean your bath sponges just like a mop head. Put it in a mesh lingerie bag and put it in with your laundry. Kitchen sponges can also go in the washer. Put your machine on sanitize or the hot water setting and run a quick wash.
One or more clogged nozzles preventing ink from getting to the page is the most common cause of a printer skipping lines. Through normal use, small amounts of ink can collect and dry in the printhead blocking the nozzles.
The purpose of the waste ink absorber is to safely collect any waste ink expelled during cleaning of the print head and borderless printing on photo printers. Over time this waste ink absorber can become full and will need to be replaced.
Press and hold the “Power” button and reconnect the power cord. When the printer comes on, release the button. Wait five seconds and push the “Power” button again. This resets the printer`s internal memory and overrides the “Ink Absorber Full” error code.
Once you`ve removed the old waste ink pad, clean the area around the pad with a damp cloth or paper towel. Then, install the new waste ink pad and reassemble the printer. After replacing the waste ink pad, you`ll need to reset the waste ink counter to clear the “waste ink pad full” error message.
Open your dried ink pad and its corresponding reinker. Gently squeeze the liquid ink onto your pad in a zig-zag pattern to cover the whole surface area. Set aside and allow the ink to absorb; repeat if needed until the pad is adequately saturated.
Soak for 15 minutes in mixture of 1 quart lukewarm water, one-half teaspoon liquid hand dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon ammonia. Rub gently from back to loosen stain. Soak another 15 minutes in above mixture. Rinse.
But if you, like me, didn`t really know that you had to do that, how often should you change your kitchen sponge? The CDC recommends changing your sponge every two weeks. In fact, some experts recommend you change your sponge out once a week.
Throw them out before they smell.

Wring sponges out after each use and clean them every other day. While those are great habits to get into, even a sponge sanitized this often could accumulate bacteria over time, so replace yours every two weeks—or even sooner if they develop an odor or fall apart.

Cleaning your Natural Bath Sponge:

Using a mixture of one (1) tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water, soak your Natural Bath Sponge for 15 minutes each week or two. Then rinse and allow to air dry.

According to the magazine, microwaving and boiling, were the most effective methods, reducing bacteria counts from the millions to an `untroubling` 1000 CFUs. However, because sponges can burn in a high-powered microwave, the final recommendation is boiling them for 5 minutes.
Is it OK to microwave a sponge? Absolutely! That is, as long as the sponge design doesn`t contain any metal. In as little as two minutes, you can kill or inactivate as much as 99% of all bacteria residing in your sponge.
In the past, people used to make kitchen sponges from sea-sponge. However, today, most kitchen sponges are made from plastics, such as polyester or polyurethane.
If there is plenty of ink and the printer does not print, clean the Print Head then print the nozzle check pattern to ensure ink is ejected properly. If the problem is not resolved after performing Print Head Cleaning twice, carry out the Print Head Deep Cleaning.
Streaks on your print jobs are a result of your copier glass being dirty. “Dirt” is created by fingerprints, dust, and other forms collected through usage. Often this will be detected by your device before streaks begin to appear, and a display will read that the glass needs to be cleaned.
Smears and smudges on the paper can be caused by dirt, dust, or toner accumulated on the rollers or transfer belt as it passes through the paper. Cleaning your printer, particularly the rollers, is one of the options for removing black markings from paper.
Remove stains from the inside of the printer. If the inside of the printer becomes dirty, printed paper may get dirty, so we recommend performing cleaning regularly.
This error code is 5B00. It indicates that the used ink counter must be reset and that your absorber pads must be replaced. Changing the ink pads alone will not solve the problem. It is necessary to use a software to do the reset. This software is only accessible by Canon authorized service centers.
Ink cartridges can dry out over time. If they are sitting in your machine for an extended period, they will eventually dry up and become unusable. The simplest way to combat this problem is by printing more frequently or running regular cleans and ink tests to ensure the nozzles remain clean.
One of the most common reasons why ink smudges or even faded prints occur is defective ink or toner cartridges. Try and check your ink cartridges if they are all still in good condition. Make sure that the ink has not yet dried up and is free from dirt and residue build-up.
