How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

If you used a page size that`s larger than your printer can handle, you can expect your content to run off the paper. To fit your file to the sheet size you`re using, use the “Print to Fit” feature of your software – if it includes one in your print settings – or target another device that handles larger paper.
Misalignment of your cartridges may occur over time. Alignment can be adjusted on most printers using an automated system that you can access through the printer`s control panel. Each printer will have a different process for this. For example, on most HP devices, you can access this function in the Setup menu.
This issue may occur if you set your document or section margins closer to the edge of the paper than your printer can print. Most printers cannot print all the way to the edge of the paper because of physical limitations in the way that the printer handles paper.
Incorrectly installed ink cartridges or low ink levels can result in poor print quality or errors. Check ink levels. From the printer control panel: Look for an ink drop, a cartridge icon, or an Ink Levels menu.
Continuous paper:

The minimum left and right margins are 13 mm (0.51 inch) each. The maximum paper width is 254 mm (10.0 inches). The maximum printable width is 203.2 mm (8.0 inches).

Property Value

A Margins that represents the margins, in hundredths of an inch, for the page. The default is 1-inch margins on all sides.

In Word, borderless printing can be achieved by setting the page margins to 0 under “file” and “page setup”. To print borderless with Adobe Reader, you have click the “file” tab and select “print”. Select your printer from the drop-down menu.
Printed pages are normally a standard size defined in inches, 8.5 x 11 say, so printed image size in inches is very meaningful too. The printer driver will try to print the image at its original size in inches, unless told otherwise.
The standard includes the familiar Letter (8.5 in × 11 in) and Legal (8.5 in × 14 in), but also some additional sizes you may not use as often.
Margin information can usually be found in the documentation that came with the printer. Look in the technical specifications section for information on the top/bottom and left/right margins. Another easy way to find the margins is to use Microsoft Word.
If your printouts become grainy or blurry, you notice misalignment of vertical lines, or you see dark or light horizontal bands, you may need to align the print head. You can align the print head automatically from the control panel or your computer, or align it manually from the control panel.
Alignment is the way you arrange text and images along a common edge, axis, or center point. Alignment creates order, consistency, and harmony in your design, and helps the reader follow the flow of information.
1. Paper Jams. Paper jams are a common problem for printers, resulting in time-consuming and frustrating delays. It can occur when loose sheets of paper get stuck in the rollers or feeding mechanism of the printer.
Most famous among these is the golden ratio , which is approximately 1.618 : 1. For instance, if you set page margins of 2.23″ on all four sides of 8.5″ × 11″ paper, the proportions of your text block will be close to the golden ratio.
Page margins should be consistent throughout the text. Required Margins: The top, bottom, and right margins are required to be 1 inch, but the left margin can either be 1 inch or 1.25 inches.
Setting Your Printer

Choose “Printing Preferences” from the pop-up menu, then look at the setup options your print driver provides. Usually, there will be one called “Layout” or “Page Layout.” Once you`ve clicked “Layout,” you should have the option to manually set your margins to zero.

3. Click “Margins” on the Page Layout tab, then select “Custom Margins” and use the up or down arrows to select the margins that you want. On some applications, click the “Page” tab and use the up or down arrows in the Margins field to set the margins for the document.
In the worksheet, click File > Print. Under Settings, click Custom Scaling > Custom Scaling Options.
If you want to change the paper size of your document (for example, print a US Letter-sized PDF on A4 paper), you can change the printing format for the document. Open the print dialog by pressing Ctrl + P . Select the Page Setup tab. Under the Paper column, choose your Paper size from the drop-down list.
Alternatively called full-bleed printing, borderless printing is a printing technique that applies ink to the entirety of the paper`s surface. It leaves no unprinted margins or slug area.
The larger the size of paper the smaller the number – A10 is the smallest and A0 size is the largest. ISO 216 specifies the international standard of paper sizes which is used in most countries worldwide apart from Mexico, Dominican Republic, USA and Canada.
Despite having the lowest number, this is the largest of them all, with A0 paper size being 841 x 1189 mm.
Create custom paper sizes in printer properties (Windows)

In the Print window, click Preferences, Properties, or Printer Properties. Click the Paper/Quality tab, and then click Custom. Click New, type a name for the custom paper size, select the width and height, and then click OK to save the paper.

Prints blank pages, won't print from computer
ANSWER : Don’t know why you replaced the fuser, but assuming you had print before, then it must have been something you did during the procedure. Only thing I can suggest is to recheck your work. Just because you reinstalled a connector doesn’t mean that it is seated firmly enough to work. Any flat ribbon connectors that you removed and reinstalled, check to see that the contacts are all flat and not peeled back.

Print file sent but no printing occurs
ANSWER : Been working on these since they first were released. Never seen a problem like yours. If it happens again, try doing an engine test, as it bypasses the formatter board. The engine test is located at the right side of the manual tray opening. Look for a hole in the side wall. Stick something like a paper clip into it to actuate the test button. It will then print a lined test page. If it does that, then it points to the formatter board as the cause of your problem.
