The terms “double printing,” “ghost printing,” or “ghosting” may all refer to a printing defect where an image or text block from a previous print is repeated onto the current page. Usually, ghosting happens due to a mechanical defect in the printer. The duplicated images and text typically show up faint or smudgy.
Print jobs get stuck in the queue when a device stops printing in the middle of a job. This can happen for a variety of reasons, from a sudden power outage, low ink, no paper, a paper jam to interference by third-party firewall software.
What Does Print Queue Mean? A print queue is a list of printer output jobs held in a reserved memory area. It maintains the most current status of all active and pending print jobs.
Open Print Management by pressing Windows key + R, then type printmanagement. msc and hit the enter key. Click on Print Management, then select Action from the menu, then Migrate Printers… Choose the option Export printer queues and printer drivers to a file, then simply follow the prompts.
Turns out that it is the location if you will of network shared printers you have installed. Example would be \printserver\hp p3005 So if I mapped that printer all its info would be stored in “Root Print Queue”. If I uninstall “Root Print Queue” my mapped printer would go away.
Keeping printed documents in the queue

Click the Advanced tab. Select the option “Keep printed documents” and click OK. When you need to restart a document that has already printed, open the Printers folder and double-click on the printer to open the queue. Select the document and choose Document → Restart.

This is related to a printer driver setting known as the mopier mode. When the mopier mode is enabled, a printer can receive one copy of a document, and print multiple collated copies. The number of copies required is specified via a PJL header tag in the spool file.
If your printer`s status displays “Printer in error state,” there may be a problem with the printer itself. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your PC by Wi-Fi or cable. Check it for low paper or ink, and be sure the cover isn`t open and the paper isn`t jammed.
Printer CIs are pointers to actual Physical Printers in company`s organization. Print Queues are a list of printer output jobs on a particular machine/computer.
To change your printer IP address, type its current IP address into the address bar of a web browser. Then go to the Settings or Network page and change your printer`s network to a static/manual IP address. Finally, type in the new IP address.
To print all elements of a Queue, we follow the following steps: Run a loop till “queue is not empty”. Print the first (oldest) element by using queue::front() method. Remove the oldest element (perform “pop” operation to remove the element)
Because each printer is assigned a unique serial number, when you connect another printer of the same model to your computer, it is recognized as a different machine.
Usually a quick paper setting adjustment will clear up a ghosting issue right away. Run a cleaning – Most printers have a cleaning function built into the machine. Run this a couple of times to attempt to clear up the printing issue. Inspect the drum – Sometimes excess toner powder can stick to the drum.
Volatile memory requires power to store the information. Deleting volatile memory is easy: Simply shut down or unplug your printer for a minute or so. Most printers also have non-volatile memory (a hard drive) that is stored until you physically delete it.
Change Print Settings Windows

Select the printer you`d like to use, and select the Properties button. Under the Layout tab, you can choose the method you want under the Print on Both Sides section. By choosing None, the document will print single-sided.

Printer status spooling essentially means another document is printing, and yours is waiting for its place in the queue. The reason for this is that printers don`t have anywhere near as much memory as computers, and need an intermediary program to conduct and wave the print jobs to home plate.
