There are four primary causes for horizontal banding on prints from inkjet printers, (1) nozzle clogs, (2) mis-aligned print heads, (3) low quality print settings (4) incorrect paper thickness settings. Below we will describe each of these causes for horizontal banding as well as ways to try and fix them.
When your printer leaves black lines, the lines indicate that there are excess toner powders on the rollers or transfer belt within the printer. As the paper is moved along by the rollers and transfer belt, any excess powder left on them can result in lines being left on the paper.
If you notice white or dark lines in your prints (also called banding), try these solutions before you reprint: Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary. Make sure the paper type setting matches the type of paper you loaded.

Streaks on your print jobs are a result of your copier glass being dirty. “Dirt” is created by fingerprints, dust, and other forms collected through usage. Often this will be detected by your device before streaks begin to appear, and a display will read that the glass needs to be cleaned.
The band-shaped “stripes” are called “horizontal bands” or “banding.” Horizontal bands are caused by the subtle changes in the movement distance that occur when feeding the media depending on the media`s thickness. We recommend making corrections to match the media you are using.
Delete lines or connectors
Tip: If you want to delete multiple lines or connectors, select the first line, press and hold Ctrl while you select the other lines, and then press Delete.

Dirty or misaligned print heads
Your printer may be printing fuzzy, blurry, or other faint text because of dirty print heads. All modern printers have a self-cleaning mode, which cleans the print heads, and additional internal equipment used in the printing process.
Lexmark`s entry-level C3326dw color laser printer produces quality output, is relatively fast, and supports most operating systems and platforms. Aside from the high running costs typical of lower-end laser machines, there`s little to complain about.

Over-extrusion is the main reason why a 3D print has lines. There doesn`t necessarily have to be significant over-extrusion; it might simply be a small amount of additional material being pushed out when the level is printing.

It turns out that some fashion “advice” is just plain wrong: horizontal stripes won`t make you look fatter. In fact, they may even make you look thinner.
