How to Identify and Fix Common Problems ?

Turn on the printer
Connect the power cord between the printer and a grounded AC outlet. Move the power switch on the lower-right bottom of the printer into the On position, and then press and release the On/off button on the front of the printer.
Many printer models won`t print if there`s a loose USB connection or if they`re out of ink or paper. Verify your printer`s ink levels, clean the printhead, fill the paper tray, and avoid using substandard paper.
Printer sleep mode
Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.
The printer is either low in toner, the density is set too low, or the Economode may be turned on. Remove the toner cartridge and shake it. This will redistribute the toner and often will temporarily solve the problem. However, this usually indicates it is time to install a new cartridge.
Locate and run Diagnose & Fix in the HP Smart app for macOS and Windows computers. Open the HP Smart app, and then open Diagnose & Fix. Windows: Click the Diagnose & Fix icon in the bottom left corner. macOS: Click your printer, click Printers in the top menu bar, and then click Diagnose & Fix.
Restart the printer and try again. Unplug the printer from an outlet. You can plug it back in again to see if it works this time. Check if the printer is properly set up or connected to your computer`s system.
If the cord is not damaged, plug it back in after at least five minutes. If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet. If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip…just as a troubleshooting measure).
The fuse protects your printer from short circuits and power overload. It is placed between the power outlet and the switch on the left side of the printer. If your machine does not start after pressing the power switch, at first you should check if the power cable is connected to a power source.

I haven’t seen that particular behavior on that model. It either works or it doesn’t. My first choice would be the power supply.

13.01.00 "jam in tray …" error message
I have never seen that problem. Really bizarre. I have to say that I’ve never replaced a main motor in any printer that I can remember and we’re talking thousands of them. I would suggest that if you have a voltmeter that you check the main motor contacts during the warm up procedure and see if they are indeed getting any voltage and go from there. If there is voltage, it’s the motor. If not, then most likely the controller board. If you don’t have a meter, it’s cheaper to buy one than start buying parts for the printer.
