Check that AC line cord is securely connected to both the wall outlet and the back of the printer. Ensure the power switch is turned on. Ensure that particular wall outlet is good by trying some other electronic equipment functions when plugged into that same wall outlet. Try another wall outlet, if possible.
This is a safety feature Lexmark designed for the printer to prevent fire or damage that might result from an overheating fuser. Should it overheat, the printer will automatically shutdown.
Note: In Sleep mode, the power button is illuminated by a solid (i.e., non-flashing) amber LED. To bring the printer out of Sleep mode, tap the power button once more. This will revert the printer back to its Ready state.
Faulty power cords and connections are an uncommon but possible cause of a printer not turning on. Before suspecting a cord failure, ensure that there is power to the wall outlet and there are no conditions preventing the printer from turning on. Testing by substitution can confirm if a cord connection is the problem.
Turning the power ON/OFF while the print monitor screen is displayed may cause the printer driver to go off-line and make printing impossible. In this case, open the [Printers / Printers and Faxes / Devices and Printers] folder on the computer and check if your printer driver is shown as off-line.
The most common cause of phone turning off automatically is that the battery doesn`t fit properly. With wear and tear, battery size or its space may change a bit over time. This leads to the battery getting loose a bit and disconnecting itself from the phone connectors when you shake or jerk your phone.
Hold down the power button for 15 to 30 seconds, until the phone restarts.

Check that the printer does not have sleep mode enabled: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click the printer in question, then select Printer Preferences. Look for an option to disable sleep or time-out mode.
Solution. Perform a power cycle (power off, wait 30 seconds and then power it on again) on the printer to return its full functionality.
