Using the computer
From the document that you are trying to fax, open the Print dialog. Select the printer, and then click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup. Click Fax > Enable fax > Always display settings prior to faxing, and then enter the recipient number. If necessary, configure other fax settings.
From the home screen, touch Settings > Device > Preferences > Run Initial Setup. Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. From the Before You Begin screen, select Change the Settings and Continue with the Wizard. From the Fax/Email Server Setup screen, enter the needed information.
Otherwise, try to perform a power reset on your machine. To do so, you must remove all plugged connections and press the off button. Wait for at least 30 seconds before reconnecting the cables, then switch the machine back on. See to it that your device is ready before attempting to send another fax.
Press the FAX button, then press the right function button. The memory reference screen is displayed. Use the up or down arrow to select Delete all documents in memory, then tap OK.
➡️ The FAX number would be the phone number on the home landline that you connect to the printer. You can try to use the printer to dial your mobile phone number, go to “FAX”>>”Send Now”>>enter your mobile phone number>>press black.
Why? Windows can detect and “sort of” support your printer – the Windows Drivers may not be enough to allow the printer to be designated as the “Default Printing Device”. Without this designation, the “Fax” portion of the printer might think it is the default printing device.
Click Settings > Manage Shortcuts > Fax Shortcut Setup. Note: A password may be required. If you do not have an ID and password, then contact your system support person. Type a name for the shortcut, and then enter the fax number.
With a document open, click File > Print. Select the printer, and then click Properties, Preferences, Options, or Setup. Click Fax > Enable fax, and then enter the recipient fax number or numbers. If necessary, configure other fax settings.
