Use the multipurpose feeder when printing on different paper sizes and types or specialty media, such as card stock, transparencies, paper labels, and envelopes. You can also use it for single‑page print jobs on letterhead.
The error message “Load MP Feeder” on a Lexmark printer indicates that you need to load paper into the front-loading multipurpose feeder (MP Feeder). There are several solutions to the problem. If you try to feed from the MP feeder, make sure that the tray is loaded with paper.
Press the Menu button, then select the Paper Menu, select Paper Type, then select Tray 1 Type. Using the navigation keys, select Plain Paper (assuming you are trying to print on plain paper). Ensure that the paper size and type matches the paper in the tray.
Use the multi-purpose tray when you want to copy or print on a different paper size or type from the one loaded in the paper drawer.
An automatic document feeder (ADF) is a mechanism found on devices like printers, fax machines, photocopiers, and scanners that feeds multiple sheets of paper into a scanner or copier to copy, print, or fax multipage documents in a single operation.
The portion of a printing press in which the paper (or other substrate) is stored and fed into the press for printing.
“Manual Feed” is an indication that your machine`s Tray Setting or the paper source in the printer driver has been set to Manual Feed, but there`s no paper loaded in the manual feed slot.
Select > Paper Setting > paper source > Print Adjustments > Paper Feed Adjust.
The manual feed slot is located on the front of your printer. It can be closed when not in use, making the product more compact. Use the manual feed slot to print transparencies, labels, envelopes or postcards in addition to making quick runs of paper types or sizes that are not currently loaded in the paper tray.
Printing multiple pages on one sheet (it is also called N-up printing) can arrange data in a compact way and save paper. You can set the number of pages and specify how the pages are placed – either horizontally across the page or in vertical columns.
Multipart stationery is paper that is blank, or preprinted as a form to be completed, comprising a stack of several copies, either on carbonless paper or plain paper, interleaved with carbon paper.
On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), and then click Devices and Printers. Right-click your product, and then select Printing Preferences. From the Printing Preferences menu, select Paper/Quality. From the Paper Source drop-down menu, select Tray 2.
With dot matrix printers, paper is often feed through pins on a wheel that grab and slowly move paper through the printer. With inkjet and other page printers, paper is fed through the printer with rollers that grab and move the paper through the printer.
A feeder, is a feed holder, such as fixed holder or trailer-mounted hopper, delivering feed or fodder to cattle, sheep, horses and other livestock.
Step feeder: used to feed small cylindrical or spherical parts. Elevator feeder: able to feed simple parts at varying rates. Flex feeder: uses vison-guided robots for part selection. Linear feeder: the system uses vibrations to move parts.
A feeder process is any business process that accumulates businessevent data that are then communicated to and processed within the enterprise system database (and to the general ledger within that database).
Inject data into your virtual users from an external source, eg a CSV file. Feeder is a type alias for Iterator<Map<String, T>> , meaning that the component created by the feed method will poll Map<String, T> records and inject its content. It`s very simple to build a custom one.
Feeder schematic views allow utility managers to determine the circuit to which a given piece of electrical equipment belongs (its power sources), and which of its electrical phases are energized on the primary side using an easy to understand schematic or logical layout.
For modelling of an average MV feeder, the feeder length is considered as 12 km with an average current loading of 180A ( ≡ 3.2 MW equivalent).
A front loading printer is the most common form of laser printer, the media tray or cassette will usually be located at the bottom of the printer and will feed the media in from the front.
Using both hands, put one piece of paper in the manual feed slot until the front edge of the paper touches the paper feed roller. Once the machine has grasped the paper, let go. The side to be printed should be faced up.
Printer rollers are the small circular rubber pieces that help feed printer paper through your printer. Over time, they can accumulate dust from the paper and ink residue from printing double-sided pages. To clean your printer rollers, you`ll need to first locate them in your printer.
Continuous form feed and friction feed are the two types of paper feeder mechanisms. Dot matrix printers use continuous form feed, and laser printers use friction feed.
Open your printer`s preferences screen by right-clicking on the relevant icon in the Devices and Printers section of Control Panel and choosing “Printing preferences.” The layout of the subsequent dialog box varies between printers, but you should find options for reducing the quality (and increasing the speed) of the …

Lexmark paper feed problems
ANSWER : On my X204n Lexmark laser printer, it was doing the same thing you described – basically sounded like it was trying to pick up the paper from the tray and then failing after several seconds. When you’d open the paper tray, the paper looked like it had been partially taken up with some black scuff marks on the paper that lined up with the rollers that take up the paper. I inspected the rollers and although they looked a bit smooth and worn, didn’t seem like they should be a problem. However, this particular model has just a rubber tire almost like a car tire – the rubber can come off the hard plastic wheel on the inner portion. So I popped off the two rubber “tires”, turned them inside out and put them back on. When turned inside out, the rubber looked nice and … rubbery and had a lot more grippy feeling to them. The very first printing attempt after that and the paper sucked up perfectly with no problems. I think the problem is solved! So if you have similar “tires” that take up the paper, try flipping them and see if it works for you too.

Multiple paper feed
ANSWER : Most likely the pickup roller solenoid is sticking. The way it works is the solenoid energizes, pulling down a metal plate that releases the pickup roller. There is some foam on the base to quiet the clicking sound. The foam deteriorates and the plate sticks to the gooey residue. This allows the pickup roller to continue to turn instead of stopping after one revolution when the plate springs back up. That results in multiple paper being fed. Solution is to find the solenoid, which is at the end of the pickup roller shaft. Remove the sticky foam and preferably replace it with some thin sticky backed felt. You can find it at a hardware store as it is used on the bottom of chair legs.

Lexmark X466 empty tray
ANSWER : The “Load Tray 1 with A4 paper” means the printer is looking for A4 size paper in Tray 1 and that is not what it is detecting. You need to make sure that the paper size that is in the tray matches what the printer is expecting so it understands that it should be looking for a specific size of paper. If you are printing on regular Letter size paper – set the printer tray to Letter instead of A4 and message should go away.
