Creases and folds in the paper are normally due to one of the following conditions: The paper is not correctly loaded in the paper tray. You are printing on a special type of paper or other media. The paper has absorbed too much moisture from the surrounding air.
“No Paper Fed [MP Tray]” will occur when your machine is trying to print from the MP Tray but the paper isn`t loaded, or the paper can`t be pulled through.
“No Paper Fed [MP Tray]” means your printer is trying to print to the Multi-Purpose (MP) tray on the back of the machine, but doesn`t detect any paper in that tray. – If you aren`t trying to print to the MP tray, the application you are using may be trying to print to that tray.
Pinch the clip on the side paper guide, and then slide it to match the legal paper size. Pinch the front end paper guide and slide it inward to match the legal paper size. Fan the paper before loading paper in the tray. Load the new paper stack print side up.
Wet your paper with a moist sponge or a piece of cloth. As an alternative, dip the paper in water and place it on your table. The water makes the paper stick to your working surface.
Use the MP Tray for special print media, such as photo paper or envelopes. If the [Check Paper] setting is set to [On] and you set the paper in MP tray, a message appears on the LCD asking if you want to change the paper type and paper size.
Printing legal-size paper is relatively easy. All you need to do is change the printer preference settings to legal-size paper. For most printers in the U.S, letter size is the default printing option. However, you can still change the settings to legal-size paper when you need to use this format.
Article Talk. In geometry and topology, crumpling is the process whereby a sheet of paper or other two-dimensional manifold undergoes disordered deformation to yield a three-dimensional structure comprising a random network of ridges and facets with variable density.
It is this permanent line of tiny fractures that forms the crease. Because it is indelible, the paper is said to “remember” the crease”. Even ironing with a hot ironing will not get rid of the crease. It is much the same with metal foil, although in this case there are no fibres to fracture.
Tips. Sometimes the best way to remove the wrinkled look, is to place the wrinkled page flat on a photocopier and make a new copy. This one will not have wrinkles, and will be as good as new.
Zip Dry never ever wrinkles paper, including tissue and vellum. It is acid and lignin free, and will not harm photographs. It rubs away completely when wet, without leaving any sticky residue. Scrapbookers and card makers have voted Zip Dry their #1 adhesive for paper.
“No Paper MP” means the MP Tray is out of paper or the paper is not loaded correctly in the MP Tray.
On the front of the machine, open the MP tray and lower it gently. Pull out the MP tray support (1) and unfold the flap (2). Slide the MP tray paper guides to fit the width of the paper that you are using. If the paper guide on the right side has a lever, press it and slide the paper guide.
The media bypass tray is designed to process thicker printing media (compared to the main paper tray, which is designed specifically for standard sheets of paper) and to offer a straighter path through the printer by bypassing at least one set of rollers.
Use the bypass tray to use OHP transparencies and paper that cannot be loaded in the paper trays. The maximum number of sheets you can load at the same time depends on paper type. Do not stack paper over the limit mark. For the maximum number of sheets you can load, see Recommended Paper Sizes and Types.
The flag located right of the pick-up roller has a fixed position. If the flag becomes stuck or broken, it will produce a 60.02 tray lift error or a “LOAD PAPER” message.

Paper jam in tray 2 (but no paper pulled from tray) also M476DN models
ANSWER : Isopropyl alcohol is not recommended for rubber rollers. It dries out the rubber and hasten it’s cracking and breaking. It will do nothing to restore the grip. Those rollers are really hard to replace. It would be easy if that dumbass secondary menu really worked. None of the techs I’ve spoke to ever got into it. Everyone I know sends a print job and listens for the roller to rotate into position where you can pull it off.
Tray 1 (upper tray) paper feed problem
ANSWER : There is no way of adjusting the distance of lift. Could be that the pickup roller is worn enough that it will pick up a sheet that is higher, but not one that is lower down. You can look at the end of the roller that first makes contact and see if it is worn smooth.

Paper tray 3
ANSWER : What usually happens in this instance is that the access flap to the left of the pickup roller pops up. This blocks the tray from opening. The only way to fix it is to look in from the back of the tray with a flashlight and get something thin and long, maybe a wooden ruler? Reach in and push down on the flap until it locks in place. If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, you can pull out and look at tray 2 for guidance.
